CD transport for system versatility
With no built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), the Teac PD-507T can be connected to your choice of DAC or directly to a digital amp or AVR. Use it with a Teac Reference 500 system and you can connect it to the UD-507’s built-in DAC to convert the digital signal. However you decide to pair it, Teac’s in-house CD transport and precision tuning ensure the ideal combination of sonic precision and low distortion.
Tried and tested Teac mechanism
Unlike the vast majority of other CD player manufacturers, Teac produce their own transport mechanisms – many of which are used by other manufacturers. The PD-507T is built around the legendary CD-5020A mechanism, which has a proven track record, often featuring in broadcast CD players. The mechanism features a semi-floating construction which effectively isolates the laser from mechanical vibrations.
Precision tuned for natural sound
The drive control is precision tuned for natural, low distortion sound. Lifelike and transparent sound is achieved by using a slower feedback loop to control the spindle motor. The spindle and pickup lens drive actuator are driven by a bridged circuit, which doesn’t generate switching noise, resulting in purer, low noise audio.
High quality power supply for low background noise
For the most stable power supply and smooth dynamics, Teac has specified a high-capacity, toroidal power transformer. For high precision, low distortion sound, the over-sized power transformer has triple secondary windings and triple rectifier circuits. These independently power the audio circuit, CD drive and microcomputer, and the display circuit. This design minimises noise within the audio signal and maximises playback clarity.
