Sparkling yet smooth top-end Developed from Wharfedale’s high-end Elysian project, the EVO 5.4’s AMT (Air Motion Transformer) delivers a superbly-balanced top-end response. Using a pleated diaphragm that ‘squeezes’ and ‘expands’ the air, the AMT system moves four times more air than a traditional dome tweeter. This reduces distortion, letting the most subtle treble detail shine through. To help further reduce distortion, the 5 Series features new Silentweave and ResoFrame dampers, helping to absorb distortion for an even cleaner sound.

By equally distributing the airflow to the left and right, as well as the rear, you don’t just get a better integrated bass response, but also easier room placement with less ‘boom’ than with conventional bass ports.
