High quality engineering
Unlike some other powerful amps, the M1 is about much more than sheer brute force, it’s about sound quality, too. The 65-amp MOSFET amps effortlessly handle huge current swings and are super-fast to respond. This gives a dynamic yet low distortion sound. Other quality engineering shows itself in the four-layer circuit boards and extensive earthing – both promoting low background noise, letting you hear more music and less distortion.
Energy efficient and cool running
Using a highly efficient Class D amplifier, the M1 has the twin benefits of running cool and using less power than an equivalent Class AB amp. The operating power consumption of around 300 watts is the same as many amps with a tenth of the power. Cool running means that the M1 is happy to be rack-mounted, without the extensive, assisted cooling that conventional amps require.
