Atacama Moseco 6 (Satin Black & Natural Bamboo)
Speaker Stands Per Pair
£149
”Great performance, build quality and value.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ 2022 award-winner.
Sound design
At its base, the Moseco 6 uses a bamboo plinth. This provides excellent rigidity and vibration damping characteristics, while the twin carbon steel poles give exceptional strength and stability, for the best possible support. For perfect leveling and isolation, base spikes are included, while for even better levels of damping and a more accurate bass response, the front column can be filled.
Designed for your home
The bamboo base plate offers a warmth and texture that's missing from many speaker stands. It complements many styles of other wood finishes and, as a cost option, is available in dark finish, too.
For an award-winning speaker stand that sounds as good as it looks, the Atacama Moseco 6 leads the pack.
Standard pole colour is Satin Black. Silver Metallic, Diamond White and Gloss Black (front pole only) available at additional cost. Standard base colour is Natural Bamboo. Dark Finish Bamboo available at additional cost.

Great speaker stands
An excellent and attractive pair of speaker stands, with options for cable routing, optional filling and weight plates. Bamboo bases are very attractive. Speaker stands come with spikes, a good (if small for very large speakers) top plate and all fixings. It could be that Atacama slightly over charge for extras and spike shoes would have been a good free extra that you have to pay for. All in all though I like the look and feel

Fabulous,
So pleased with the great service from the Guildford branch, especially Dylan who helped sort a small issue out for me. Speaker Stands are perfect, look very smart and suit the speakers perfectly.

Stands for quality
Bought these stands a couple of weeks ago from Richer Sounds Stockport where I received exceptional help from staff who were happy to show and discuss a range of hi fi speakers and accessories. These stands came with easy to follow assembly instructions and once put together have proved to be rigid, sturdy and good looking supports for my speakers. Larger plates and gel pads are available as extras however I have found those supplied more than adequate. The bamboo bases are heavy enough on their own to give good stability and I have not noticed any unwanted vibration though ballast can be added to the forward tubular pole if required. Very pleased I purchased these and happily recommend as I also do the helpful Richer Sounds staff

Great kit. Knowledgeable service.
I popped by RicherSounds in Maidstone because I was killing some time. The shop is eye candy for people who appreciate their sound & vision. I walked out having ordered a pair of Atacama Moseco 6 speakers stands. It may seem like a trivial point, but the chap in the shop knew the differences between the available stands.
I am quite delighted. They are heavy and rather beautiful with a slotted rear upright to hide the speaker cable. Once they arrived, the packaging truly set the scene for me. That's clearly an engineering exercise in itself because the way that was done screamed quality to me. The instructions were totally clear and my speaker stands were ready to go in less than 10 minutes.
The sound difference? Raising and isolating my mission bookshelf speakers from the floor (yes, they were on the carpet!) has made them sound clearer and much more precise. You would expect that. However, these are not the most expensive speakers in the world, yet they deliver to a higher standard than I had anticipated. I have some old Gale Model 5's that I do love. My little Mission speakers are almost as clear if not as full and able as the Gales. Basically, the Atacama Moseco 6 stands do a fabulous job.
In short, I love these stands so thanks to Richer Sounds for chatting me through the options.

Good-looking, stable stands for a reasonable price
These always get good reviews so I didn't ponder too long before buying them. I did some calculations based on my listening position and the size of my speakers in order to try and get the tweeters at ear level - these were just about OK in terms of height and I think the extra 10cm of the Moseco 7s would have been too much.
The top plates are tiny and are only suitable for the smallest of speakers so I had to buy a pair of larger top plates which cost an extra £30. They're still a bit on the small side, I don't know why the top plates aren't larger in general, and Atacama had to be chased up as they hadn't arrived after ten days (the stands themselves arrived next day from Richer Sounds). My speakers (Wharfedale Diamond 12.2) are heavy though so they are quite stable when placed on the stands.I have laminate flooring, so I have replaced the spikes with M8 dome-headed allen key bolts, which I think is a stabler solution than the little disc-shaped spike shoes.
