Two greats - combined
Take the award-winning Audiolab 6000A amplifier, add the network connectivity from the acclaimed 6000N Play and you’ve got a highly talented combo of the two – the 6000A Play. This wireless streaming audio player provides the hub for all your music sources, plus the amplification – just add your choice of speakers and you’re ready to go.
DTS Play-Fi for effortless music streaming
DTS Play-Fi is a premium, wireless control system that brings everything under one 'roof'. Download the free app and you'll not only have access to Internet radio via Sirius XM but also popular music apps such as Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Amazon Music. As well as streaming from music services, the 6000A Play also streams from NAS drives and PCs with DLNA support.
Plug in your CD, TV and games console
As well as streaming, the 6000A lets you hook up your other digital sources. Twin optical and coaxial input let you connect your TV, CD, Blu-ray/DVD and games console. Once connected, you not only benefit from the Audiolab’s award-winning amp tech but also the reference quality digital electronics – giving amazing clarity and detail.
Bluetooth your smartphone
For quick and easy connectivity with your smartphone, simply use the Bluetooth link. Ideal for smartphones, tablets and laptops with Bluetooth, this wireless connection gives easy access to music stored on your phone and music streaming services, such as Spotify, Tidal and Deezer.
And not forgetting your turntable
With all its digital connections, the 6000A Play still hasn’t forgotten about your analogue sources. As well as three line level inputs, there’s also a handy turntable input for decks with a MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge. The high quality, low noise phono pre-amp delivers a full-bodied balance that does justice to the warmth and depth of vinyl sound.
Award-winning, Audiolab sound
Using a substantial power supply, the 6000A Play has plenty of grunt. The Class AB amp produces 50 watts per channel, giving effortless, room-filling sound. The pre-amp section of the amp uses independent, low noise power supplies at critical stages – reducing distortion and increasing the detail. For powerful, life-like sound there’s little in its class to match the 6000A Play.
Digital filters tailor the sound
For a more tailored sound, the 6000A Play features a user-selectable digital filter. Select from Fast Roll-off, Slow Roll-off or Minimum Phase to adjust the sound precisely to your preference.
Excellent sound for your headphones
Incorporating a dedicated headphone amp with current-feedback circuitry, the 6000A Play makes the ideal driver for your headphones. Dynamic and detailed sounding, the 6000A’s headphone amp is a big step-up on most amps. It also offers ample power, so it drives even the most current-hungry ‘phones.
More than just a single zone music streamer, Play-Fi offers the potential for full multi-room music. Simply add other Play-Fi compatible sources and you'll quickly be able to build up a comprehensive music system around your home - all under the control of a powerful app.
For a networking amp combo that gets the very best from all your music speakers, just add speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChrisPchicken from Great sounding amp with added convenience After a lot of agonising over amp and or streamer options I came upon this after listening to a 6000A and loving the sound. Finding out they did this made the decision for me. After reading reviews and any negatives being linked to software glitches and peculiarities that have now been fixed. I’m rediscovering my love of music thanks to this amp and a Spotify subscription. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this or the 6000A

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rsoc from Crisp, clear and good sound depth Over many years I have assembled a record collection which plays for about 20 days if played continuously. This includes some 140 vinyl LPs in almost mint condition. Having travelled a lot in my work I have been having to listen to my collection from iPods, or small speaker computers. Having finally retired with time and place to install a decent system I went to Richer Sounds and discussed my needs in detail. I did not want a large unit I just wanted to own a good listening system. Also, I appreciated that my range of hearing is not as good as it was and saw little point in purchasing equipment which went beyond my hearing capabilities, but needed to ensure that the system would react to rapid changes in frequency and volume. I listened to this unit in Richer Sounds listening room and was able to select music tracks with which I am familier. The system decided upon, with close listening to the speakers, seemed to fill the bill. It was delivered next day and I set about connecting it all up. After about a week have I finally got it set up. I am now able to listen to tracks which I had long forgotten. The output is very, very crisp and I am hearing instruments which I had long forgotten thanks to the full frequency response of the system. The tracks in stereo are very broad. Of particular importance to me was the provision of a phono input so that I can listen to my vinyl records direct from the turntable. This is excellent and it is great to hear the output direct from the record. I highly recommend this product and, for me, it had been an excellent choice and outstanding value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Exactly what I had hoped for …and more. I purchased the 6000A Play at the Reigate branch and was delighted to audition the amp with the 6000 CDT. Ian who is manager was extremely helpful, informative and also enthusiastic especially about the Dali Oberon 5 speakers I’d decided to partner the equipment with. The sound quality, versitility of the Play and price of the Audiolab system was exactly what I had hoped for and more. I’m extemly happy, thanks Ian & Richer Sounds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Superb amp, terrible app Really impressed with the amp, sound is brilliant but the app you have to use to get the high res sound is terrible. Closes for no reason. Very difficult to navigate amazon music playlists, doesn't automatically play high res, you need to select a tab each time. Really impacts the user experience of what is an exceptional sounding amp for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Colonel sanders from Amazing sound Upgraded to the audiolab from a Yamaha musicCast, the difference in sound from all sources is unbelievable. Best £££‘S I have spent for a while. Dealt with Blue at the Plymouth branch who was knowledgeable and helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by stevechilds34 from Easy set up - great sound - streaming superb I bought this 2 weeks ago and haven't stopped playing it - I was initially hesitant at replacing my Marantz amp which I'd had for a number of years, but after researching this piece of kit I took the plunge and so happy I did. Easy set up out of the box - you'll need the Play Fi app installed ( I have it on my phone and tablet) Great sound as a traditional amp fro both CD and Phone input Streaming my music now in top quality sound (and volume) Really happy with this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DionVicars from Excellent features - shame about the sound The electronic features are great and the amp is very powerful but sadly it does not, for me at any rate, seem to deliver the kind of full sound I want, instead it sounds, well, clinical.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kantread from DTS Play-Fi has let this good amp down I bought this replace a good workhorse NAD 3020. The 6000 is a good amp, rich tones good mid range and stylish. it was a good replacement. What lets it down is the DTS Play-Fi software. Apart from drop outs all over the place it routes through your phone or tablet rather than direct from your server. It is OK if all you want to do is stream Music services such as Amazon or Spotify but why would you spend so much money on good amp like this. The biggest bug bear is that Audiolab says it is DLNA compatible and it is totally not. Play-fi cannot see my other DLNA devices and good software such Bubble upnp cannot see the Audiolab. My advice, save some money and buy just the straight amp and spend the rest of the money on a separate streamer to go in one of the many Aux inputs. Or buy a Denon.
