Sports or movie fan? Then why not follow your passion on the big screen, with the BenQ W1050.

See the bigger picture

Sports events and movies are always better on the big screen and, with the possibility of an image up to 300 inches, the BenQ W1050 offers at least five times the screen size of similarly priced TVs. If you’ve a smaller room, the W1050 can still project a mighty 100” screen from just 2.8m away. Generating a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, you’ll also find the W1050 far more detailed and vibrant than previous budget projectors.

1080p for Full HD resolution
The perfect resolution for Blu-ray and gaming, 1080p Full HD gives noticeably more detail than 720p HD resolution. Suddenly, you'll see texture in the grass on the pitch, subtle detail in wildlife documentaries and a whole new depth of image. The larger the screen and the closer you sit the greater the benefit, making 1080p more impressive on a projector at home compared to a TV set.

Blackout blinds not required
With a brightness of 2200 ANSI, the BenQ W1050 doesn't require a pitch black room to impress. Even during daylight conditions, the W1050 is bright enough to provide a decent picture quality.

Three-mode picture setting
With dedicated picture modes, the projector adjusts it settings to match the content. Sport Mode, Cinema Mode and Vivid TV mode are carefully calibrated to show each genre at its best.

Connect it all
Twin HDMI sockets allows two HD sources, such as a Blu-ray player and games console. There's also a range of analogue connections, including composite and a VGA PC. Add in an audio output, mini-USB plus RS232 control interface and you've got a comprehensive set of sockets that rivals many more expensive projectors.

Make evenings in a true occasion, with the BenQ W1050.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all round projector I bought this projector to replace an ageing machine that was no longer compatible with modern tech. It does everything I want in the way of connectivity and gives a clear bright image on the screen. It is easy to set up and use with minimum fan noise

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent picture quality Bought this projector around 3 weeks ago and really impressed with the quality of the picture and the ease of which to set up. Excellent price aswell. Richer sounds were as per a pleasure to deal with. Wouldn’t shop for electricals anywhere else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good picture, very loud though! This projector is very loud. The fan noise is very loud, also the built in sound is absolutly terrible, theres no point benq wasting there time to put audio speakers in the projector its is that bad ( cant hear nothing wven if the fan was not loud! ) also it says you can achieve 100” at only 10feet 11 inches. This is a lie as mine is back this ammount and only get about 80”. Apart from that the picture quality is very good. Would recommend but just make sure you buy good speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money! I have it for over a week now and using on large 92” screen in the bedroom. The picture quality is amazing. The colours very natural. We tried all options including 3D and it does the job. We connected via HDMI to 5.1 home cinema system and honestly we don’t want to leave the room in the evening. Personally prefer to use in smart eco mode as the picture is very bright in normal mode. Looks good even with the small bedroom lamps dimmed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality! The picture quality is fantastic. However, the sound quality is extremely poor, even when connecting it to speakers. Although this is to be expected from a projector.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pleased Almost perfect Watched a comparison between this and Optoma HD27 and found less Rainbow effect with this. It is still there but dual colour wheel helps minimise it. I would prefer an LCD but at this price point reviews were not good enough and this produces a great picture. Rainbow is not noticable except on hard contrast such as the opening sequence in Gravity but i find it generally manifests itself as the eye scans across the image. So if you are not rapidly looking around the screen you dont actually see it much if at all. I watched the whole of lego batman, streamed in HD from Amazon and it was only noticable in the white on black end credits.
