Cambridge Audio’s talented StreamMagic Gen 4 is built in, with a wide range of further connectivity letting you connect everything from a TV to a turntable.
Flexible positioning – ideal sound in any location
Benefiting from room-optimisation tools, the L/R X maintain optimal balance wherever they’re located. Whether placed in open-plan spaces or close to a wall, they adapt smoothly, meaning that your music always sounds richly balanced and lifelike. Featuring DynamEQ, high and low frequencies are subtly adjusted as the volume changes, ensuring a smoothly balanced sound at all volume levels.
Pristine top-end detail
Fitted with Cambridge Audio’s 28mm custom tweeters, the L/R X speakers deliver exceptional top-end detail. Equipped with a rear chamber, the tweeter ‘breathes’ freely, ensuring you get to hear the subtlest music details. The custom waveguide and phase ring ensure the sound reaches out well into the room, creating a holographic listening experience.
Expansive, full-bodied sound
Packing not one, but two 5” woofers, the L/R X speakers deliver sound that’s far more expansive than their modest size would lead you to expect. Expertly engineered, one of the woofers fires downwards, pushing the sound deeper into the room. The effect is incredibly immersive sound, without the need for more than two speakers.
Immense bass from compact cabinets
As the largest L/R speakers currently available, the ‘X’ model delivers by far the deepest bass response. Thanks to the powerful 2x 400W power output and dual 6” force-cancelling passive radiators, these speakers hit incredibly hard considering their relatively compact size. With a frequency response that reaches down to 35Hz, they match many smaller floorstanding speakers and deliver effortless bass without needing a separate subwoofer. That said, a sub out connection means that it’s still possible to add your choice of (larger) active subwoofer.
