At the heart of this Cambridge Audio subwoofer you'll find an 8", long throw woofer, powered by a high quality 70W amplifier. This combination gives effortlessly deep bass that transforms music and movie soundtracks. With a response down to 34Hz, your system now delivers the type of bass you'd usually expect from the largest and most powerful floorstanding speakers.
Power with control
Unlike inferior designs, the SX-120 marries this force of power with tight control. Painstaking port design and a rigid MDF cabinet ensure distortion is kept to a minimum. The amplifier and cone design are optimised for tight, punchy control just as much as ultimate bass depth.
Flexible placement
Letting you tailor the SX120's sound to your room, system and personal taste, the SX120 comes with variable volume and frequency response controls. There's also phase control that facilitates the positioning of the subwoofer behind your listening position. Finally, an auto power switch allows you to power the subwoofer off/on via your receiver or amp, meaning it can be tucked out of sight.

Ideal partner for Arcam solo music
ideal partner for Arcam Solo Music. I have a pair of Dali floor standing speakers but the base tones were disappointing so i just added the Cambridge SX120 and its made a huge difference.
My only criticism is a lack of setting up instructions i.e. how to set up remote control to turn sub off.

Brilliant
I purchased this 2 weeks ago - like another reviewer this was my first time adding a sub-woofer to our home AV setup. Bass was already good but with a new AV amp I am blown away by the difference! The bass is perfect - the balance is just right, comes in subtly without booming and really adds to the experience. Highly recommended

Great Sound Enhancement!
First time purchase of a sub-woofer. I was pleased with the sound from my Denon RCD-M41DAB, but having read reviews of the SX120, I thought that I'd try it. I'm so pleased that I did, as the enhanced sound is excellent, and adds significantly to the listening experience.

Worth the wait
I bought this to replace my previous Cambridge subwoofer which stopped working after 12 years. I asked for advice to check it would be compatible with my existing system and it hasn't disappointed.

I bought a Cambridge SX120 as another separate for my surround sound system. I've bought all my equipment from Rocher Sounds for 40 years since my first purchase at the store in London Bridge.
