High precision sound quality
At the heart of the Denon DCD-50 is a top quality Burr Brown DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). The high precision 32-bit/192kHz DAC effortlessly delivers a sound that’s low on distortion but high on musical energy, precision and detail. It might be small but the sound from this player is most definitely ‘full fat’.
Compact size – rotate to fit
Styled to match the PMA-30 and PMA-60 amps, the DCD-50 is just 20cm wide. Making it even more flexible, the player can even be positioned on its side – taking up little more room than a typical wi-fi router. As you turn the unit, the display rotates to match.
Stylish good looks
Just like the matching amps, the DCD-50 is finished in contrasting matte black and soft aluminium. The minimal button count and slot-loading mechanism keep the style clean and the design timeless.
Fully featured
A coaxial digital output gives you the option of updating to a higher quality DAC at a later date or using the CD player with a digital amp or recorder. The DCD-50 also plays a wide range of discs and even has a folder mode function for MP3/WMA files. The neat remote control is compatible with other Denon products and gives full access to programming, repeat and random play modes.

Like everybody else says it doesn't work!
Foolishly disregarded what everybody else had written about this CD player. Why? Because its aesthetics looked good, it would fit perfect in my media wall and it was a Denon, synonymous with top quality. Brand new CD no.1 (Cult) straight out of the wrapper wouldn't play, neither would CD 2 (also new). An old CD would play (Primal Scream) then CD 1 would play and the old CD wouldn't. Another old CD (Otis) wouldn't play. Totally fed up with the same after 30 frustrating minutes. I will return to Richer Sounds tomorrow. Take heed of what people say! Avoid this product.

Compact yet top notch sound
As they say, everything good comes in small parcels and the Denon DCD50 is no exception. This compact unit is not only good looking but it also packs a punch with crystal clear sound at top and bottom ends. Competitively priced this CD player is well worth the investment.

Thoroughly impressed.
Bought this along with the PMA-30 amp. Once set up and playing it certainly put a smile on my face. The sound quality is amazing and it looks absolutely stunning along with the matching amp.

Excellent mid range CD player.
Purchased this just over a week ago and have been very impressed. I needed a compact player to fit in a limited space and when I saw this I knew it would be perfect as it can be placed flat or on its side. The quality of sound is much better than I expected and the fact that it could be paired up with a matching amplifier in the future is a bonus.
