Processing for up to 16 channels With 16 output channels, the RMC-1+ has the processing power for the most sophisticated home cinema systems. Add suitable power amps and you’ll be able to decode Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Pro signals, right up to Dolby Atmos 9.2.6 – enough for the largest home cinemas. For best results, pair with the Emotiva XPA Gen3 power amps.
Reference quality sound The RMC-1+ is designed to deliver reference quality sound – in stereo or multi-channel. The fully balanced Reference Stereo path combines with the Reference Stereo mode to make this an impressive choice for stereo sound. Audiophile grade DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors) operate on all 16-output channels, making this equally impressive in home cinema mode.
Balanced XLR outputs For the highest quality signal transfer, the RMC-1+ uses 16 XLR outputs. More usually found in studios, XLR balanced sockets offer excellent noise resistance and a ‘locked in’ connection for the lowest distortion and most secure connection.
Dirac Live, for the very best sound in your room For the very best sound in your room, RMC-1+ includes a license for powerful room correcting technology from Dirac Research. This uses a microphone and dedicated software to take multiple readings around your room and feed the information back to the amplifier for a completely bespoke response (professional set-up recommended).

Enhanced HDMI connectivity Featuring eight HDMI inputs and two outputs, the RMC-1+ easily adapts to the most complex systems. All of the HDMI sockets are now at 2.1 standard, meaning they’re compatible with 8K sources and 4K/120Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for gaming. They also support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ pass through.
Expansion ports For further flexibility, the RMC-1+ is fitted with three expansion ports. One of these is preinstalled with stereo, XLR balanced inputs – ideal for a reference CD player or music streamer. The second has a fully configurable MM/MC phono input. Adjustable to suit a wide range of cartridges, this is ideal for optimising the sound from your turntable. The third port is there for any potential future upgrades.
Flexible control options A wide range of control options makes it easy to operate. A web-based remote control interface and network-based API allow seamless integration into your current ecosystem. Stay informed via the unit’s dual, high-visibility OLED screen and configurable onscreen display. For direct and tactile control, it also comes with Emotiva’s solid metal remote control.
