Pinna-Aligned diffuser for a smooth, rich sound
Related to the D8000 and D800 Pro models, the Final Audio D7000 sounds distinctively different to either of them. With a newly developed Pinna-Aligned diffuser, revised AFDS system and different material for the earpads and headband, you get a smoother and richer sound. Ideal for relaxing to music at home, rather than hearing every tiny detail of music in a studio, the mellifluous sound is ideal for letting the music simply ‘wash ‘over you.
Maximising the planar magnetic principle with AFDS
Final Audio have revolutionised the design of these planar magnetic headphones with a technology called AFDS (Air Film Damping System). By using AFDS, the diaphragm doesn’t come into contact with the speaker magnet, meaning higher volumes are possible without distortion. Combined with sealed inner earpads with breathable outer pads, the bass extension is smooth and powerful.

Thanks to their ingenious design, the D7000 headphones combine the best qualities of both planar magnetic and conventional dynamic headphones. You get the clear transparency and detail that’s typical from a planar magnetic design, combined with the volume and powerful bass of a larger, dynamic pair of headphones.

As well as sounding superb, the D8000s are pretty special in terms of build quality, too. For the AFDS technology to work effectively, the highest quality materials are required. Aluminium magnesium alloy housings are machined with high precision and then coated with a high quality leather to damp vibration. Handbuilt in Japan, each pair of headphones is constructed to the most precise standards, guaranteeing you the highest level of consistency.
Supplied with cable and case
Supplied with a 3 metre cable, fitted with a 6.35mm plug, the D7000 is ideal for using with most home hi-fi systems and headphone amps. It also comes with a sturdy case that keeps them protected when not in use.
Long-term comfort
The D7000 features a new type of material - Japanese Washi fabric paper - for earpads and headband. It offers excellent durability, air permeability, moisture control and antibacterial properties. By mounting the earpieces on ball joints, as well as the more usual sliders, few other headphones fit quite so precisely. This not only offers the best sound quality but also reduces pressure on your head, making these headphones feel lighter than their actual weight.
