Featuring a long throw, 12 inch bass cone, the Klipsch RP-1200SW isn’t shy when it comes to the bottom line. The impressive 400 watt amplifier uses an analogue pre-amp design for a natural and low distortion response. Although it’s a bit of a beast, rounded edges and ergonomic controls make it easier to accommodate than many super-subs.

As an RP (Reference Premiere) model, this Klipsch subwoofer comes with a Cerametallic cone. This highly efficient cone is ideal for subwoofer use as its low distortion, high rigidity design effortlessly shifts air for bass that goes incredibly low. With a frequency response that drops well below 20Hz (16.5Hz claimed), you get to enjoy the cinematic feel of the best multiplex, with having to leave home.

Thanks to its front-firing bass port, the RP-1200SW produces a smooth, powerful bass, anywhere in the room. The life-like sound is also aided by an analogue pre-amp design, which blends perfectly with the digital power amp to give you mighty power but a less sterile sound than a purely digital amp could produce.

With its tactile control knobs, the RP-1200SW is easy to fine tune. The low pass and gain controls are readable from above, making it easy to get the perfect setting, with the subwoofer in situ. There’s also a phase switch for if the subwoofer is positioned behind you. Auto-on saves power and means you don’t need to access the rear of the subwoofer every time you want to listen.

Although there’s no getting away from the RP-1200SW’s sheer bulk, its rounded design does make it easier on the eye than some competitors. Wow ! I wasn't expecting such a HUGE improvement in my home theater.
This 1 klipsch rp-1200sw subwoofer replaced 2 svs sb-1000 pros.
Honestly can't believe what I've been missing out on , and in hindsight It should have been my purchase last year and not the 2 svs sb-1000 pros.
The difference is staggering.
This digs really deep and the bass is what I'd describe as lush. Not muddy , it's rich and completely fills my room and the gain is only on No2 !!
I always felt the svs as good as they are for the size , were working near capacity, this monster just breezes through movies like blade runner 2049 with ease and definitely leaves an impression ( even on the neighbours )
Be prepared as its super heavy and the length is long.
I'm not sure if I'll ever buy a 2nd sub now, I had intended going dual subwoofers but not sure what I'd benefit as this 1 klipsch is absolutely brilliant.
If you can accommodate the size , buy without hesitation.
