Premium sound quality
Based around a dual-core, ARM Cortex processor, the 778S delivers smooth and seamless operation. Incorporating a high quality ESS ES9038Q2M DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter), with 32-bit HyperStream architecture, you get to enjoy supremely detailed, high-precision sound quality. All incoming audio is upsampled to 352.8kHz or 384kHz, reducing distortion and allowing the DAC to operate in its optimal range. The result is cleaner transients, greater dynamic nuance, and a more natural soundstage.
High Resolution sound
Designed to maximise high resolution music from the outset, the 778S excels with Hi-Res music formats. Widely compatible with audiophile music formats, such as FLAC, Apple Lossless and WAV, the 778S optimises your high-end music files. It’s also compatible with DSD streaming, including DSD64, DSD128, DSD256 (DoP) and DSD512 (PC USB).

With Silent Angel Streaming technology at its heart, the 778S makes streaming a dream. The platform features easy app control, for iOS and Android, and delivers a wide range of streaming options, including direct access to Internet radio via TuneIn. Also compatible with AirPlay and ‘Connect’ apps
For ultimate streaming versatility, the 778S is also compatible with a range of other streaming platforms. For integration with Apple devices, there’s Apple AirPlay 2. You can also use the Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect proprietary streaming apps for full compatibility with their ecosystems.

The USB-A interface can also output audio and even charge portable devices up to 5V/1A.

The Mission 778CDT is a compact CD transport that allows you the choice of matching DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) or digital amp. By removing the internal DAC, this not only saves you money but also gives you the freedom to choose your own audio partner. For an optimal system match, pair with the Mission 778X amplifier.
Music maker
Just like all Mission products, the 778CDT puts music first. The precision transport features a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) for the master clock, significantly reducing jitter and delivering a clean, stable signal to your DAC. Key functions, including the transport, laser and master clock are powered by dedicated low-noise power supplies, helping to reduce interference and distortion to the lowest levels possible.
USB file playback
More than just a CD transport, the 778CDT also doubles as a USB media device interface. Simply connect your USB media player to the USB-A connection at the back and playback/control music files in WAV, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and APE formats. Thanks to the clear OLED display, you’ll also be able to easily locate and track your stored music.
