Reference standard The Monitor Audio Platinum 100 G3 is a standard-sized standmount speaker that’s versatile enough for many different applications. In smaller and medium-sized rooms, a pair of Platinum 100 G3 speakers give you a true stereo reference. Alternatively, for the ultimate home cinema system, the speakers can be used as effect speakers – with centre, subwoofer and floorstanding speakers available to match.

Everything that Monitor Audio has developed over many decades of speaker manufacturing is refined to the highest standards, making the Platinum 3G range a true reference from which to judge others.
Ultimate top-end performance For the ultimate in treble response, the Platinum range features Monitor Audio’s premium a MPD III (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) tweeter. Working by squeezing the pleats, like a super-fast accordion, gives the treble a sensational response – right up to a stratospheric 60,000Hz. Precision mid-range and bass With a 3-layer, aluminium and carbon fibre hybrid cone, the RDT III (Rigid Diaphragm Technology) delivers absolute cone precision and the lowest levels of distortion. What this means is that vocals sound so realistic that you feel you could reach out to touch them. The high power and long throw characteristics also ensure bass that’s remarkably deep and sustained for such a relatively compact speaker.
Ultra-low distortion cabinet To reduce cabinet distortion to a minimum, Monitor Audio use laminated layers of MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). This takes the form of a curved, internally braced cabinet that’s between 18-21mm thick, with a 36mm super-thick front baffle for incredible structural rigidity.
Choice of sumptuous finishes Matching the peerless sound quality is the luxurious finish. Choose between luxurious Piano Ebony or Piano Black in high gloss finishes, or the lighter hue of Pure Satin White. All three sumptuous colourways are finished to the highest standard, with no fewer than 16 layers of lacquer on the gloss models. As a finishing touch, the cabinets are further embellished with etched inlays to highlight the craftsmanship.
