With a 3-layer, aluminium and carbon fibre hybrid cone, the RDT III (Rigid Diaphragm Technology) delivers absolute cone precision and the lowest levels of distortion. What this means is that vocals sound so realistic that you feel you could reach out to touch them.
Plumbs the depth of bass Featuring powerful motor systems with extra-large magnets, the Platinum 300 G3’s bass punches hard. Highly rigid driver chassis’ ensure the cone is held with absolute precision, further reducing the potential for distortion. Twin, long-throw woofers mean that the bass response isn’t just tight and dynamic but it’s also deep, too. With a frequency response that drops all the way down to 25Hz, you don’t need to worry about adding a subwoofer.
Ultra-low distortion cabinet To reduce cabinet distortion to a minimum, Monitor Audio use laminated layers of MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). This takes the form of a curved, internally braced cabinet that’s between 18-21mm thick, with a 36mm super-thick front baffle for incredible structural rigidity.
Choice of sumptuous finishes Matching the peerless sound quality is the luxurious finish. Choose between luxurious Piano Ebony or Piano Black in high gloss finishes, or the lighter hue of Pure Satin White.
