QED Performance Active HDMI UHD 12m
Active HDMI Cable
£179.95
If you’re looking to run a long HDMI cable, without losing quality, the QED Performance Active UHD HDMI 12m is the cable for you.
Active Filter Technology
Rather than using expensive booster boxes, which require external power supplies, or cables with a difficult to hide "electronic bulge" inconveniently situated half way along, this cable uses Active Filter Technology. A dedicated integrated circuit, especially developed to provide High Speed data performance over long cable runs, is built unobtrusively into the head shell of each cable. The result is improved performance without the bulge.
High compliance – including HDMI 2.0b
This latest version of QED’s active HDMI is now compatible with HDMI 2.0b. This means it carries 4K60 UHD video signals, uncompressed. The cable also supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WCG (Wide Colour Gamut), making it the perfect match for your high-end HDR TV or projector.
Keep the signal quality, even over long distances, with the QED Performance Active UHD

4k24 performance via 15m hdmi
Hello fellow AV lovers,
I have circa 20 years experience with mid priced AV\hifi audio equipment and have been a long standing loyal customer for QED connectivity due to the performance, value and lifetime warranty benefits.
Equipment used in this experience
Sony A1 65” TV
Oppo 205 player
Denon x8500h AVR
This is simply my experience with the referenced equipment. I have over the years been of the opinion that expensive hdmi cables differ little when compared to more humbly priced cables.
On this occasion I found the QED performance 15m hdmi image to be rich, deep in colour and vivid with excellent clarity and detail.
Initial results were a real delight and joy to experience.
However... I very quickly began to notice artifacts... snow... shooting stars and sparkles in the image which were not there before.
I did testing spaning over 2 months to try to identify the cause. I tried everything from changing cables to which I had around 8 QED hdmi cables in varying lengths and across difference ranges like the 15m performance, 10m qed graphite, 5m Reference and Silver Signature range. I even tried adjusting the 4.2.2 and 4.4.4 sampling in the oppo 205. I tried optical hdmi cables at 20m which produced even worse results. also tried a direct connection to the oppo.
The result was that anything over 10m was causing the issues. These problems were present whether using my TV or Projector.
In the end after 2 months of experimenting, i found that any cable 10m.and under.wrked fine. my choice was a 10m qed performance. All problems simply stopped. Even my Xbox one began working correctly where as with the 15m cable the HDR was dropping and reverting to SDR or sometimes jumping between the two.
I tried many different things and many many times over and checked everything from firmware...to hdmi connection health... making sure directional cables were used correctly...and even tried other oppo units.
It seems the 15m qed performance was not able to pass on a healthy signal and 90 per cent of the time the image would begin to present artifacts.
It could be that the cables just did not like the oppo but if you can get this cable to work for you, it does produce excellent images and great audio.
