Tuned by audio legend, Ken Ishiwata
As one of the final projects that audio legend, Ken Ishiwata, worked on, this Rotel amplifier is a true tribute to one of the hi-fi greats. Featuring upgrades, including improved capacitors, to the pre-amp and volume stage, the A11 Tribute delivers improved precision and accuracy. Modifications to the damping in the casing reduces distortion, giving an even more lifelike sound.
An impressive starting point
As the basis for a tuning project, the Rotel A11 was always a great place to start. Developed from the higher specification A14, the A11 model has a custom designed toroidal power supply at its heart, for smooth, dynamic power. The discrete output stage uses quality components for low distortion. A built-in Burr-Brown DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) gives exceptional resolution from your Bluetooth streaming sources.
With a Bluetooth receiver built-in, you can stream music from your smartphone, tablet or other compatible device, wirelessly. Compatible with aptX and AAC, it’s a high quality device that lets you stream music to a high quality standard – perfect for premium versions of your favourite music streaming service.
As well as Bluetooth, the A11 Tribute has a wide range of wired connectivity. There’s a phono input for a turntable with MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge, four line level inputs and a pre output for adding a larger power amp. More unusually, there are also RS232, external remote and 12-volt trigger sockets, all of which lend themselves to multi-room home entertainment applications.
A wide range of features includes two sets of speaker outputs, dimmable display and a headphone socket.
Adjustable tone modes
As well as the usual bass and treble controls, the Rotel A11 tribute features dedicated tone modes. ‘Rotel Max’ is designed to help ‘fill out’ smaller speakers by offering a low frequency boost. If you’re using smaller speakers in a larger room, this can be a handy setting. ‘Rotel Boost’ delivers a unique blend of characteristics for a more forceful sound. It’s perfect for parties or any other time when you want your music to have more presence.
Built to Rotel’s high standards, the A11 Tribute is impressively solid. The clean, minimalist styling is timeless and matches a wide range of other components. Choose between black and silver for the best fit with your other hi-fi components.
Give your entire system a boost in quality, with the Rotel A11 Tribute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DaliAsh from Superb Advice Equals Superb Sound I needed a music system for my home gym and it had to be better than the Pioneer streamer that I had been using for the last four years. I was never really happy with the sound coming through my Dali Opticon 1's which I knew could perform wonderfully. I contacted Damien at the Brighton store and explained what I needed in terms of connectabily and after me suggesting various streamers from Denon and Marantz, he threw a curve ball with suggesting the Rotel A11 & CD11 Tributes. I took him up on his kind offer of trialing them at home and could return them if they didn't suit. Well... I connected them up to my Dali Opticon 6's in the lounge and was instantly hooked. The Rotel duo sounded so musical with great attack and a lovely open soundstage (Damien did say the Tributes have a bit of a cult following and I can see why!). I then connected them to my Opticon 1's and was pleasantly suprised that they still sounded wonderful and brought the speakers to life once more. Fabulous kit for the money and thank you Damien once again for listening to me and your perfect suggestion. Couldn't be happier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Griff64 from Rotel A11 Tribute A bargain at any price! - But I'm getting ahead of myself... After many months of head-farting about how and where to upgrade my home system - you know the score...stylus, entire cartridge, amp, speakers perhaps etc. - I decided to call Richer Sounds (Middlesboro) and ask some non-committal advice. I was running a Pro-Ject Essential II with an Ortofon OM20 cart with an acrylic platter, into a Cambridge Audio Topaz AM10 amplifier through a Schitt Loki+ and Cambridge Audio SX80 floorstanders... Sounded superb to my ears but you know what this damned rabbit hole of audiophillia is like.. There is ALWAYS more! So after a lengthy conversation on the phone with the fantastically knowledgeable and patient Stu, he recommended the Rotel A11 Tribute. They even let me take home a demo model to try for a few days and if I liked it they would send me out a brand new one - Brilliant service I'm sure you'd agree. So the amp is great - very neutral so you get what you hear. It has a very clean, clear sound without being fatiguing after a while. The mids are not too forward and the bass is nice and warm and punchy clean and not at all muddy (which I'm sure you could find in amps twice the price). The features are minimal - which is fine with me, less to go wrong! Bass, treble, balance - there IS a loudness button (of sorts) which has two levels but also a bypass to listen flat. In short a better new amp for the price I doubt you'll find anywhere and, if you are on a budget and teetering on the edge of spending that extra hundred quid or so I'd say do it, you wont regret it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Macca1963 from What a piece of kit !!! After my trusty 32 year old Sony amp developed a fault I was in the market for a replacement, after doing a lot of research and watching a host of online reviews I narrowed it down to the Marantz PM6007 and the Rotel A11 Tribute, after visiting the Prestwich store and speaking to Iannis I went for the Rotel and so glad I did, what a piece of kit, understated, simple to use and it just oozes quality and performs well, really impressed, so much so I even bought the matching Rotel CD11 Tribute to match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Camden from Warm sound - well matched to my speakers This is a lovely amplifier with a rich, warm sound. It's lovely to Hera the complexity in the upper frequencies (so often ironed out in amplifiers around this price range). What is especially nice is how well it is matched to the speakers. I took the speaker model into Richer Sounds, and the staff there were exceptionally helpful in providing advice on the amplifier that would match.
