As Sennheiser’s flagship in-ear headphones, the IE 900 are designed and built without compromise. Hand assembled at Sennheiser’s German headquarters, they use precision-milled and anodised aluminium housings for the lowest distortion. X3R technology combines reference quality speakers and chambers for ultimate clarity. MMCX, balanced cables make the best connection, completing the all-round excellence of these headphones.
X3R technology for ultimate sound
Rather than using multiple drivers, which can cause phase issues, the IE 900 uses Sennheiser’s highest quality, 7mm transducers. Extracting the maximum ability from these single drivers, the IE900 deploys a sophisticated, three-part Helmholtz resonator. Known as XR3, these tiny channels are milled directly into the housings and help disperse resonance – giving you a wonderfully natural and lifelike sound quality.

Featuring a unique combination of materials, the drivers have superb damping properties, meaning the sound starts and stops with utter precision. This means you get to hear your music, just as the artist intended. Nothing more and nothing less.
The best connections
Making sure you get the very best from these reference headphones, balanced cables are included. Both 2.5mm and 4.4mm Pentaconn connection cables come packaged with the headphones. Balanced cables reduce noise levels, meaning you hear more detail (compatible headphone amp required). A standard cable with 3.5mm jack is also supplied. All cables are fitted with gold-plated, Fidelity + MMCX connections at the opposite end, for the perfect connection.
Six pairs of earbuds for true comfort
For the perfect fit, the IE 900 comes with no fewer than six pairs of earbuds. Small, Medium and Large silicone tips are matched by the same sizes in elastic foam. These precisely adapt to your ear shape, giving excellent comfort and outside noise isolation.

These are lovely jewel-like earphones and very comfortable to wear. They reward a good music source and the whole experience of listening to muic in this way is truly immersive.

I was looking for a really good hi res in ear phones when I coma across these very expensive but as my dear father used to say you get what you pay for so right these are amazing the sound is class leading best phones I've ever bought. Delivery was fast no hassle service I love them I bought them to go with my new astell and kern se200 wow what a great pairing I highly recommend the IE 900
