Powered speakers – just plug in your source
With built-in amplification, there's no need for a separate amplifier. Containing a 50 watt Class-D digital amplifier, these speakers are more than capable of filling a room with music. Simply plug the active speaker into the mains and connect the other speaker via conventional speaker cable.
Bluetooth 4.2 aptX for CD quality sound
With the Spectrum X5 BT Phono speakers you can listen to music from just about any source - even via wireless Bluetooth. Simply pair the speakers with your Bluetooth enabled device and stream your music library, internet radio, or services like Spotify. It's also compatible with Bluetooth 4.2 aptX for near CD quality sound.
Hook up with vinyl
New to the Phono model is the ability to connect up a turntable. Simply switch the RCA phono input to ‘phono’ and you’re ready to play – no optional phono pre-amp required (suitable for MM cartridges only).
More ways to connect
In addition to Bluetooth and vinyl, the Spectrum X5 BT Phono comes with standard RCA phono and 3.5mm connections to connect just about any hi-fi source. For TVs, CD/DVD and Blu-ray players there are a choice of optical and coaxial digital inputs. You can even charge your smartphone via the 5V 500mA USB socket.
Quality hi-fi sound
Although strong on convenience, the Spectrum X5 BT Phono also sound superb. Starting at the top, soft dome tweeter units give a smooth, detailed sound. With long-throw woofer units, the X5’s also give natural vocals and a strong bass. Need more bass? Use the Tangent's active output to connect subwoofer.
