The unique sound of valves
Rather than using transistors, the Unison Research Triode 25 brings valves into play, giving a unique sound. The amp uses the legendary EL34 valves (plus ECC82 and ECC83) for a fluid and natural sound that only comes from a valve amp. Switchable between Triode and Pentode modes, it also has the potential for a more powerful sound than smaller valve amps.
Switch between Triode and Pentode modes
Triode and Pentode modes let you choose the type of sound you prefer for your particular music and speakers. Triode is the punchier, with the power output hitting 45 watts per channel (at 6 ohms). Pentode is the smoother setting, with a real fluidity of sound. This outputs around 25 watts per channel (again, at 6 ohms).
Built-in DAC for direct, digital sound
Featuring a built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter), with USB input, simply connect to your computer or smartphone for direct, digital audio. Compatible with file sizes up to 32bit/384kHz and DSD 128 compliant, this is an excellent way of playing your digital music streaming services and stored files, fuss-free.
All the features you need
Unlike some ‘barebones’ valve amps, the Triode 25 has all the basics you need. As well as the built-in DAC, there are four, line level inputs. The variable output is ideal for an active subwoofer. There’s a line level output for recording, too. For convenience, a remote control is also supplied.
Italian style
Just as you’d expect from this luxurious Italian brand, the styling is exquisite. There’s a choice of gloss black or cherry wood facia. The chromed protective valve cover, swooping metal valve holders and crackle black finish are other highlights from this super-stylish amp.
