A Microlinear stylus gets deeper in the grove
Featuring a Microlinear stylus, the Audio Technica AT-VM95ML offers a substantial upgrade on the AT-VM95E. Microlinear styli are more finely shaped, letting them drop deeper into the grove. This lets the stylus retrieve more detail, giving a brighter and more textured top end.
Double the life
With an expected life of around 1000 hours playback, the AT-VM95ML cartridge has a life expectancy that’s double that of the VM95C model (around 500 hours) and more than three times that of the VM95E version (around 300 hours).
Upgradable stylus
When the stylus is due for replacement or as an upgrade at any time, you can go one stage further. Trade up to the top quality VMN95SH with Shibata stylus and get a taste of true high-end audio.
Optional 78rpm stylus
If you swap between 78 and 33/45 records, then why not get a dedicated 78rpm stylus. Designed to fit 78s’ groves more accurately, the VMN95SP stylus simply clicks into place and is a moment’s job to switch over.

This flexible cartridge even accepts Audio Technica’s semi-pro stylus range. Ideal for DJ use, the ATN-XP7, XP5 and XP3 (all available via special order) are all ideal for DJ use. Great service great price
Cartridge arrived today a day earlier than expected, great service from Richer Sounds as usial. Took my time to fit and set up cartridge sounds great as expected, shame the pins are not colour marked,should be even better when run in

Great cartridge that punches above its weight
Fitted to a SME 3009 arm on a Garrard 401, to replace a Goldring 1012 which I didn't think was quite right for the arm. The VM95ML was chosen as it has quite a following, is competitively priced (the entire cart costs less than a replacement stylus for the Goldring even though both use the same stylus profile) and can be upgraded with a stylus change when the needle wears out.
The results are impressive, there's very little surface noise compared to the Goldring and the microlinear stylus picks up a lot of detail from the grooves. I have found it works best at the upper end of the recommended tracking force (2.2g).
It also comes with mounting screws and a screwdriver, small details but very welcome.
Highly recommended!

Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML Game changer
I exchanged my Rega Bias for a Audio-Technica AT-VM95ML cartridge on my Systemdek II with a Linnbasik LV V arm and the difference was astounding. The old cartridge was comparible CD recordingings. The AT-VM95ML is in comparison 3D, lively and detailed.
