Replacing the PTFE insulation with high performance XLPE (Cross Linked Polyethylene) improves the performance of this already impressive cable. As used in their high-end Signature XL cable, XLPE outperformed PTFE in listening tests. Superior insulation reduces interference, giving a smoother, more natural sound with enhanced detail.
Suits many systems
The OdysseyX lives happily in budget, mid-price and reference systems alike. Whatever system you use OdysseyX with, you can be sure that dynamics are carried well and that instruments have a 'weight' and reality to them. Cymbals are noticeably more realistic and acoustic guitars and pianos more life-like sounding.
Quality construction
Each set of conductors is made up of silver-plated, oxygen free copper strands. These are heavier conductors than the ones used in the RumourX cable and it's this extra mass of cable that give the musicians (vocals, drums, guitars and acoustic instruments) a more dynamic weight and presence.
