The final piece of an Opticon MK2 home cinema system Designed to harmonise with other Opticon MK2 speakers, the Opticon Vokal MK2 is the vital, final part of an Opticon MK2 home cinema system. With typical Opticon MK2 characteristics, the Vokal sounds smooth, detailed and true-to-life. It’s also powerful enough to be used with even the mighty Opticon 8 MK2.
Hybrid, ribbon tweeter for superb vocal reproduction The Opticon Vokal MK2 uses a ribbon tweeter paired with a more conventional dome tweeter for sensational results. With the ribbon tweeter handling the very highest frequencies - most of which can't even be heard by the human ear - the conventional tweeter is freed up to handle lower frequencies. This means less harmonic compression and a high frequency that can 'breathe'. What you hear is an effortless treble performance full of rich detail and free from harshness.
Improved drive units for the finest sound As well as the ribbon tweeter, the Opticon Vokal MK2 uses a low-loss, wood fibre SMS woofer derived from DALI's reference grade speakers and a brand new soft dome tweeter derived from the Callisto range. Designed for precision and accuracy of sound, the Opticon lets you hear the music exactly as the artist intended.
Twin, front ports, for easy placement Unlike the rest of the range, the Opticon Vokal MK2 uses twin, front-mounted ports. These slot ports allow the speaker to be placed in a cabinet or against a wall without affecting the performance.
Made in Denmark Rather than 'buying in' cabinets, DALI produces the Opticon cabinets in-house. This means they can be sure of the quality and consistency of build. The solid cabinets are designed for low levels of resonance giving low distortion and help to promote a natural sound.
Improved style The Opticon MK2 has a fresh new style. Cleaner and more minimalist than before, the Opticon Vokal MK2 reflects its Scandinavian heritage. Available in a choice of Satin Black, Tobacco Oak or Satin White, there’s a finish to suit every décor.
