Utilising the largest cabinets in the Theva range, plus an impressive array of drivers, the Focal Theva N°3 have power to spare. The bigger size makes them ideal for larger rooms and effortless performance at high volume levels. Much more than simply a ‘boom box’ however, elegant engineering ensures that these speakers are just as graceful-sounding as they are powerful.
Twin woofers for mighty bass
This 3-way Focal speaker uses two woofers per speaker that are dedicated purely to reproducing the bass. Almost like having a subwoofer in each speaker, this speaker layout provides a deeper, more solid bass response. Ideal for under-pinning all-action soundtracks or stadium music alike, the Theva N°3 delivers a deep, powerful bottom end.
Slatefiber cones for balanced sound
The three characteristics required for smooth, natural sound from a speaker driver are rigidity, lightness and damping. Focal’s impressive Slatefiber cone hits all three targets – and then some. Incorporating recycled carbon fibres, the woofer cone provides the perfect composition for smooth, precise sound – whatever the type of music.
Time alignment for harmonious sound
The Theva N°3 is supplied with time alignment stands. These tilt the speakers upwards, meaning the sound from the tweeters and woofers is aligned in the time it takes to reach your ears. Time alignment provides better interaction between treble and mid-range, making the music sound more cohesive and harmonious across the frequency response.
TNF tweeters for smooth precision
Derived from the reference Focal Utopia’s Beryllium tweeter, the TNF tweeters use aluminium and magnesium with Poron suspension for an exceptionally smooth yet detailed sound. The Poron surround reduces distortion at a point critical to human hearing, giving silky-smooth treble. The classic Focal inverted dome is also present – helping to give a broader spread of sound in your room.
