Classic JBL sound and style, from a bookshelf speaker
Ideal for retro style and modern sound, in smaller rooms, the JBL L52 Classic speakers are compact in size but big on personality. With premium drivers and carefully designed cabinets, they deliver signature JBL audio with punch and clarity.
Bright top-end response that cuts through
Featuring titanium dome tweeters, the L52 Classic deliver top end clarity and detail that cuts through. The tweeters are also equipped with acoustic lens waveguides that help spread the sound wider and integrate it smoothly with the midrange.
Adjustable high-frequency control
If the top end isn’t to your taste, you can tune the sound via the high-frequency level attenuator. Easily accessed via a control dial on the front of the speakers, this dials up or down the top end for a brighter or smoother response.
Classic JBL punch and presence
Although small, the JBL L52 Classic speakers punch hard. Equipped with a 5.25inch woofer, the speakers go surprisingly deep for a compact design. Featuring ribbed cones, fitted to a cast frame, they also excel in accuracy, ensuring bass texture and realism to match the power and depth. Midrange vocals and instruments are portrayed with presence, pushed well out into the room for a lifelike feeling of being ‘there’.
Mirror imaged design for tuneable soundstaging
With their mirror-imaged driver arrangement, the tweeters can be placed closer or further away from one another. If the speakers are placed close together, the soundstage will be enhanced by the tweeters being at the far edges of the speakers. Likewise, if the speakers are placed further apart than usual, having the tweeters on the inside edges should sharpen the soundstaging.
Rigid cabinet, with real wood veneer finish
Solidly built and reinforced to resist vibration, the L52 Classic’s cabinets provide the perfect support for the drivers to work, without cabinet colouration. For a sleek and room-friendly aesthetic, they’re finished in a high quality, satin wood veneer.
Choice of classic Quadrex foam grille colours
For that final retro flourish, the L52 Classic speakers are supplied with authentic Quadrex foam grilles. Choose from black, blue or orange colourways for a design that’s as discreet or bold as you require.
Optional stands (sold separately)
Ideal for optimising the L52 Classic’s sound, JBL provide optional (at additional cost) speaker stands. The JS-65 stands provide robust support for these stylish speakers. If you prefer to wall mount the speakers, there are also dual threaded inserts for third party wall-mount brackets.
