During the mid-twentieth century, Leak audio were a leading UK hi-fi company. From their legendary valve amps, tuners and Sandwich speakers, to the mould-breaking Stereo 30 transistor amp, Leak were a first division player.
Return to form
Sadly closed in 1979, Leak is now back with a range of hi-fi products that celebrates the best of the brand but with a modern twist. The CDT features the compact dimensions and classic art-deco style of the original Leak products but with technology that was unheard of at the time.
CD Transport only – the perfect match for the Stereo 130 or your choice of DAC
As a transport only, the Leak CDT comes without a built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). This not only saves you money but also gives you the freedom to choose your own DAC. Alternatively, it makes the perfect pairing for amps with digital inputs, such as the ideally matched Leak Stereo 130.
Top quality sound
With ‘read ahead buffering’, the CDT minimises tracking errors and disc flaws to deliver smooth, consistent sound. A high quality master clock reduces jitter, giving ultra-low levels of distortion for the most lifelike sound.
Slick, slot-load mechanism
Using a premium, slot-load mechanism makes this player faster to load and cleaner in style. Doing without the traditional loading tray also reduces the chance of resonance, potentially improving sound quality still further.
,usb storage device playback
As well as CDs, the CDT also plays back music files from your ,usb storage device. Simply plug in to the handily positioned, front-mounted ,usb to play your digital music files. The CDT is compatible with FAT16 and FAT32 formatted devices and plays back WMA, MP3, WAV and AAC files.
Chose the output that’s best for you
Featuring both optical and coaxial digital outputs, the CDT works with almost all DACs and digital amps. 12v trigger sockets make it easy to incorporate the CDT into a home media system.
