For optimal performance, the Marantz AMP 10 is designed to partner the AV 10. The AV 10 processor was developed with the AMP 10, meaning that they have a harmonious sonic signature when used together. They also create a substantial visual impact, especially with distinguishing highlights including, front panel illumination, ‘porthole’ displays and distinctive metal finishes. Although designed with the AV 10, the AMP 10’s supreme connectivity means that it can also be used with a wide range of other AV processors, or even as premium quality, multiroom amplifier.

16-channel power amp for immersive surround sound
With no fewer than 16 channels of sound, you can configure the AMP 10 to suit the most high-end home cinema speaker systems. Pair with the AV 10, 15.4-channel processor and decode Dolby Atmos and DTS:X signals, right up to Dolby Atmos 9.4.6 – enough for the largest home cinemas. You can also opt for fewer ceiling speakers and more surrounds, or bi-amp the front speakers – the choices are numerous.

Ground-shaking power
At 200 watts per channel, this reference home cinema amp has power to spare. With this level of clout, you don’t need to worry about using inefficient speakers or whether or not the amp has sufficient dynamic headroom to do justice to intense action movies – it does. With its illuminated dB level metre, you can even see the power in action.

Around the back of this substantial power amp, you’ll find the space full of handy connection sockets. For studio-grade connectivity, wire up to your AV processor via the balanced XLR sockets. These not only give a secure ‘locked in’ connection but also reduce potential interference, especially over longer cable runs. Regular RCA phonos are also available, giving this power amp near-universal compatibility. For home automation integration, there’s a handy range of additional sockets, including RS-232C, DC control in/out and IR input. If the power amp is going to be tucked out of sight, the auto-standby function is a handy feature.
