Designed for harmony
The Bronze C150 harmonises perfectly with other Monitor Audio Bronze 6G speakers to give a seamless and enveloping home cinema sound. With twin drive units, it gives a broad spread of sound, easily filling the space between the front speakers. Larger than the previous Bronze Centre speaker, the C150 gives more ‘body’ to vocals and enhanced soundtrack dynamics.

Class-leading drive units can only perform at their best if housed within a decent cabinet and here, once again, the Bronze range excels. The 21/15mm (baffle/cabinet) MDF construction features internal bracing for reduced vibration – giving cleaner, less distorted audio. Silver-plated, oxygen-free copper internal cable gives the highest quality current transfer, keeping the signal optimised.

Solid Centre Speaker - good value and looks.
I bought this after a year with a 2 channel setup with the Bronze 50 left and right speakers on a Yamaha RV4 receiver. We were struggling to hear dialogue and I'd read the centre channel is important for that. It's true. The sound-stage is better and I enjoyed watching the first action movie - way more intense and better impact, although not really any lower bass (the centre has a slightly higher freq. response so I didn't expect any different). I can compare to LS50WII and a subwoofer, and I am happy with the bronze speakers but you do get what you pay for with the higher end upgrades. I miss a sub in the living room with the Bronze speakers, but not to the extent that I can justify one!
For music, the bronze are fine, but settings in the AV receiver change the sound a lot and I suspect that the AVR is at least half of the responsibility. All I can say is I enjoy listening to them, but use them more for movies and TV.
They look very good with or without grilles, and my wife totally approves despite not being as invested in the sound difference. Their looks complement the room. And I don't buy from anywhere else because the service in Newcastle RS is awesome, including help with the cables and plugs!
