Featuring a dual concentric mid-range and HF system, the CT380-IDC offers precise, single point source sound.
Discreet, low profile design
Compact in size and flush mounting, the CP-CT380-IDC is a highly discreet ceiling speaker. It can, of course, also be mounted in a wall for ultimate versatility. Finished in neutral white but also able to be painted in your choice of colour, the CP-CT380-IDC blends in effortlessly.
High end sound quality
Using the gold C-CAM treble unit from the Bronze BX range, the CP-CT380-IDC offers genuine hi-fi sound quality – tuned to match the MA Gold and Silver ranges - from a convenient design. The C-CAM (Ceramic Coated Aluminium Magnesium) tweeter has an extended frequency response that stretches to 30 kHz. Whilst this may be well above our audible spectrum, it does have a positive effect on the sound; lower notes that we can hear aren't compressed downwards or harmonically compromised. This means the treble response is smooth, sweet and detailed. Matching this refined tweeter unit is a similarly impressive 4-inch mid-range C-CAM RST inverted driver. This gives a crisp and accurate mid-range for life-like vocals. The IDC HF/Mid unit offers up to 18 degrees of pivot, in all directions, ensuring precise directional zoning of sound. The 8-inch C-CAM RST bass driver is similar to those used in the Silver Monitor Audio range and features the RST cone profile for improved rigidity and reduced distortion. The result is a deep, powerful bass that’s also highly tuneful. It also makes this speaker a true 3-way design.
For discreet hi-fi or AV, with powerful sound, the Monitor Audio CP-CT380-IDC ceiling speaker is a punchy 3-way wonder.
Please check with your builder / installer whether you need to install a fire hood with this product. "Low smoke / zero halogen" specification speaker cable may also be required.
