With an improved engine, featuring a higher output than the 2MR Red, the 2MR Blue gives a higher level of sonic accuracy. Ortofon’s 2MR models use a slimline body for full compatibility with low-profile turntables. With its near-flush stylus fitting and absence of spacers, it saves 3mm in height over the regular version – making all the difference with fitting some tonearms.
Nude Elliptical diamond
Featuring a Nude Elliptical stylus, the 2MR Blue creates a wider contact with the groove than the 2MR Red model. It’s this increased contact that gives the 2MR Blue a more dynamic sound with deeper bass and brighter treble. A wider contact also means less damage to your precious records.
