Ambilight 3-sided for immersive viewing
The unique, Philips Ambilight technology expands the picture’s presence, giving a more immersive and engaging experience. With intelligent LEDs around the top and sides of the TV, colour from the picture is cast into the room – in real time. Colour, vibrancy and excitement move beyond the screen and into your living room to bring you a viewing experience beyond the ordinary.
HDR10 and HLG compatible for the sharpest detail
Although not a 4K UHD TV, this Philips 32 inch TV is compatible with HDR10 and HLG formats. HDR10 is now commonly used in movies and games and offers enhanced detail – especially in darker parts of the picture. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is seen as the standard for transmitting 4K signals.
Sharp images – delivered by Pixel Plus HD
Using FHD (1080p) resolution, the Philips 32PFS6905 delivers crisp detail from its compact screen. You also get the benefit of a unique Philips technology; Pixel Plus HD. Artefacts and noise from any source are detected and reduced. This creates super-sharp definition and ultra-low noise images for a more realistic and lifelike picture.
Low input lag – ideal for gaming
With an input lag of less than 20ms, this Philips 32” TV is ideal for gaming. Reduced lag means faster response and a faster response gives you the advantage in combat, sport and any action gaming.

Think carefully
I bought this about a month ago for my son in his bedroom
He talked me into subscribing for the Disney + channel The only problem is the app is not on this tv and you cannot Download it the only way to do it is to buy a streaming device
If I would of been informed of this I wouldnt of bought it and gone for a LG where it’s on the app list

Love the ambi lights.
I bought this Philips 32" 6905/05 TV for my bedroom and the ambi light lights up the room. Beautiful picture, great price and I think I got a bargain.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I can't get the WiFi to work.

Very good, but not perfect
There's not too much to criticise, especially given the price, but it's only fair to flag up the cons as well as the pros.
Picture quality is very good but it did take me quite a while to adjust it to my taste; after much fiddling with settings I settled on a preset of ' middle' for just about everything.
The remote control is not the most ergonomic I have come across and there is a delay of a few seconds between pressing a button and the operation being carried out (except for volume, which seems instantaneous).
The Ambilight feature is something I thought I would not use, seeing it as a luxury I don't need, but having tried it, I'm quite taken with it-it can add to the experience of watching a programme. It does increase the power consumption significantly, however!
A final comment: I had to ring customer service to get help setting it up. We have a Freesat box and the TV remote kept turning it off, thus preventing me watching anything. It transpired that within Settings, I had to disable 'Easylink'. This solved the issue, but if I hadn't rung Customer service I would probably still be trying to work out what to do!
Overall, a good value TV with a good picture but with a few idiosyncrasies.

Good TV and excellent service
Great TV bought to go with an Xbox. Love the ambient lighting. Easy set up. Staff at my local Richer Sounds recommended it and didn’t mind me turning up at closing time to collect it. Very helpful.

Good hardware; appalling software
I've been using this TV two to three weeks. As a TV it is good value (a good picture and adequately good sound, if a bit quiet on max volume when the input is not loud enough), and the Ambilight feature does really enhance the viewing experience. By the way, Ambilight is easily turned off, and the disgruntled purchasers who are upset by the high energy use need only (it seems to me) do so to make this TV bounce from a G (?) rating to an A. Check out the energy efficiency non-Ambilight version and see if I'm right.
Now to the big problem with this set. I think (as an ex-geek in another life) that the processor is probably massively under-specced; and definitely the programming of the user interface is dire. Dire. It is true (and worse) as another review I read somewhere says, that you can wait 7 seconds for it to respond to the down arrow in the TV guide, to move down one row. And (also said by others) *** the lazy programmers haven't made any provision for you to go down a page of channels at a time!!!***. Result: S-L-O-W browsing. Annoyingly, you can't watch the channel you're on in the background while searching through the guide either (this is my third smart TV so I know what I'm missing). The whole interface is sluggish and has very roundabout ways to get from one thing to another. The opposite of agile. Sometimes the whole TV has "seized up" and I've had to switch it off (although sometimes it seems to have merely got so constipated that if I wait a few minutes it eventually processes my controller button presses). The controller itself is very poorly designed: the volume and channel +/- buttons are at the end closest to your body, whereas you want to stretch your finger out towards the telly to operate them. So you have to close up / bend all your fingers, or use your other hand, or almost push the controller out of your hand forwards.
I desperately hope some firmware/software update can help. You end up spending 2 to 3 minutes achieving what should take 20 seconds. TVs are for watching, giving us menus to fight with.

First time Philips TV purchase.
Needing a TV for the bedroom, decided on a 32 inch screen model. My shortlist included full HD models from Samsung, Panasonic and Philips. Having read good reviews for the Philips model along with an unbiased recommendation from one of fhe Richer sounds team decided to purchase. TV arrived in the one hour delivery slot stated. The TV is easy to assemble and set up. The picture shows good natural tones unlike some tvs with garish colours and high contrast. The optional ambient back-light is an interesting addition.
