The purest top-end response
Based on the design from Q Acoustics’ top-end Concept models, the hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated tweeter units deliver a super-smooth top-end response. Mechanical decoupling effectively isolates the tweeter from vibrations, letting you hear every detail in the recording, no matter how subtle.
Continuous Curved Cone for seamless sound
Q Acoustics’ advanced C3 (Continuous Curved Cone) woofer unit transforms the sound of this impressive speaker. By creating the perfect cone profile and using a powerful magnet, you get low distortion, seamless sound. The woofer design also enhances the music’s dynamics, with a bass response that’s not just deep but also tightly damped for a punchy response.

The 5040 floorstanding model introduces a second bass woofer for even an even deeper, more powerful bottom end response. Ideal for dance, orchestral and stadium rock music, these speakers capture the full scale of the music in a way that many smaller speakers miss.
Advanced cabinet design for the purest sound
For the purest, most natural sound, Q Acoustics have applied science and innovative engineering. Featuring HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, distortion is reduced to a minimum. Larger speaker cabinets tend to build up pressure in specific areas, causing resonance and cabinet distortion. By equalising the pressure around the cabinet, the pressure is reduced, giving a less distorted sound.
Improved cabinet bracing
Working alongside HPE is P2P bracing. P2P (Point-to-Point) bracing is deployed to enhance rigidity and further reduce cabinet distortion. Reducing cabinet distortion lets the drive units operate at their optimum, giving a cleaner, more focused sound.
