The Sonos system
The Sonos wireless sound system is simply one of the best sounding, most reliable and highly flexible there is. With the latest Sonos components you don't even require a BRIDGE or BOOST, as they are capable of linking via your home Wi-Fi system. For the very best results, though, linking one component to an Ethernet connection will allow you to take advantage of the famous Sonos 'Mesh' system. The more components you add, the stronger this dedicated wireless mesh becomes. Best of all, because it runs independently from your Wi-Fi, the reliability and strength of the signal is unaffected by Wi-Fi dropouts.
Controlling your Sonos system couldn't be easier. Simply download dedicated apps for your smartphone or tablet - both Apple iOS and Android are catered for - and you're good to go. You can either stream music stored on your device, from a local network share or take advantage of music streaming services such as Spotify...
Music services available on Sonos
Add your existing music streaming service or discover something new. Whether curated or on-demand, free or subscription-based, Sonos has you covered with access to a growing list of over 30 music services. For example, you can enjoy Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Google Play Music or many more paid services or SoundCloud, TuneIn Radio or 22Tracks free services.
The Sonos CONNECT brings the joys of the Sonos system to your existing hi-fi or home cinema system. Simply connect via analogue or digital cables and you're good to go. The analogue output is the standard phono RCA connection that's common on most stereo systems. With an analogue input loop on the CONNECT, you don't lose out on an amplifier input, either. Should you chose digital, there's a choice of optical or coaxial outputs for full system compatibility. Once connected you get all the Sonos system and control benefits from your existing hi-fi, making it part of one of the best multi-room systems going. Best of all, you get all this without having to make a single other change to your existing system.
Get the best of both worlds - Sonos music integration and the quality of your own system - with the Sonos CONNECT

Rated 5 out of 5 by mikeb42 from Why haven't I done this before? I have been wanting to play from my existing system to a wireless set up for ages but put it off as too difficult. This connects straight out of the box and does exactly what I wanted, with no lag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DipDipDipam from Great sound and easy connectivity but Shame it doesn't have a 12v switch so it can auto turn on my avr. The port does but it doesn't sound as good as this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NigelE from Great sound, connectivity and convenience Very pleased with sound and connectivity. As easy to connect as my Sonos Ones. Second Generation unit, no problem upgrading to S2 app. My AV system (oldish Yamaha amp) now gives big room sound with digital clarity for Spotify playlists and pre-alarmed radio. However, still a bit expensive for Wi-Fi connectivity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Comi from Important addition to the sonos family The Sonos Connect is a really important part of the Sonos product family, it gives you the ability to connect your existing sound system to the Sonos ecosystem. My personal use for this device is to connt my turntable to my Sonos system, its a good but expensive solution. The Connect has a descent DAC and a very simple setup process, the WiFi connection isn't great but it works well enough and I would advise you to use a wired connection. Another great way of using the connect is to with some nice active speakers, this way you can add amazing sound quality to your Sonos system without the need of buying the more expensive Sonos five. Overall, its a really good product, it would have been nice if the price was a bit lower (the reason for my low-ish rating) but its sill a better than the Port in every way...

Rated 4 out of 5 by ASMcK from Easy integration between Sonos and hifi Connected to hifi for streaming both directions and very straightforward to use via Sonos app. Somewhat high power consumption at rest outweighed by high quality DAC output.
