Brilliant little projector with minor niggles
Having used the projector for about six weeks in different conditions I can say it's bright enough to use as an everyday system for watching content, even in daylight, as long as it's out of direct sunlight. Set up is easy with auto keystone correction that just needs a slight manual tweak to be perfect. We are using it to project onto a 92" Sapphire screen and it's excellent. We haven't even turned on the TV since buying this.
The minor niggles are related to streaming and software licencing. Whilst XgGimi include instructions on how to install Netflix (and it works) it only streams in standard definition, which is too poor quality to watch on a big screen. Streaming via a mobile device also works but with a noticeable synchronisation issue which drove me mad. Our solution was to plug in a Google Chromecast device which streams Netflix perfectly at HD quality with no sync issues and provides opportunities to watch iPlayer etc. too.
The sound is surprisingly good for such a small device but is much improved when connecting to a good amp using a 3.5mm to phono RCA cable using the headphone socket.
It works well on battery but we haven't yet tested out it's duration as it's only been used indoors and since we prefer full brightness we've watched it whilst plugged into the mains.
Overall it's a really excellent piece of kit and extremely quiet.
Our local Richer Sounds branch were extremely helpful and it was a superb price - much better than anywhere else. Thank you team at Middlesbrough. :-)

Great projector with some drawbacks
The halo plus is my first projector and it is fantastic. In a dark or dim room you get a great picture. The speakers are punchy and the battery will last a film and have charge to spare. The draw backs are mainly around app compatability. Netflix sort of works and NowTV can be streamed via casting but has no native app. Disney and Prime work fine out of the box. All in all the complaints are minor and the projector is great.

Really exceeded expectations
This projector is unreal compared to what I was expecting. The picture is crystal clear even when projected onto a brand new white wall but is even better when onto an even cheap roll down screen. The setup was easy and quick and its now made our basement bedroom a cinema room as well. It is absolutely fantastic!

Great value for money
I bought the smaller version of the xgimi first as the reviews seemed positive however in the room its used to much natural light ment dark colours had no defining borders. The Halo+ is a huge improvement, Using it on a cream coloured wall still gives me great quality and in the dark its so sharp. I've experienced a little fuzziness while watching hi speed sports and so far that is the only negative. Even found the inbuilt speakers to be an improvement on the smaller model. All round Great design with great features well done XGimi.

Great service
In the past I bought speakers and amplifiers from Richer Sounds and I value their service with the way they helped me select the right components and the long warranty. This time I bought a LED projector also with a long warranty and these items are hard to find but Richer Sounds in Norwich had the item there for me the next day. Excellent

Great portable projector but with issues..
Overall I'm very happy with the projector. I have an LG portable projector from a few years ago which is a little dull and the Halo+ is much brighter and has a much better picture quality.
The built in speaker is also very good and I haven't felt any need to use an alternative speaker with the projector, it is nice and clear and goes pretty loud (I've never needed to use maximum volume).
The negatives I have found are that, for me, the built in Android TV has proven a little useless because I've still had to invest in a streaming stick to use with it because Netflix doesn't work, ITV hub isn't available, NOW TV isn't available as an app (you can cast to the built in Chromecast but this is buggy and doesn't always work, especially when there is a viewing PIN number required).
Battery life for me hasn't reached the suggested 2 hours but that might be because I'm powering a streaming stick as well and I have it on maximum brightness.
Overall a good projector and I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again but have marked it down a star because of the Android TV issues.
