The ADAM Audio D3V active speakers are neat and compact enough to fit a crowded desktop, yet surprisingly powerful and spacious sounding. D-ART AMT tweeters for sensational top-end detail
For the purest top-end sound, the D3V uses D-ART AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter units. Using a pleated diaphragm that ‘squeezes’ and ‘expands’ the air, the AMT system moves multiple times more air than a traditional dome tweeter. This reduces distortion, letting the most subtle treble detail shine through.
Passive radiators for bass reinforcement
The D3V utilises 3.5” woofers for a lifelike and transparent mid-range response. For enhanced punch, each speaker features passive bass radiators. Extending the bass to 45Hz, these make the D3V speakers sound much bigger than they appear and help deliver a richly-balanced sound at all volume levels.
High power amplification built in
Individual amplifiers ensure precise control of the separate drivers. Each woofer has a dedicated 70 watt amp, with 30 watt amps for each tweeter. With a built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor), the music signal is kept under pinpoint control.
Tune in to your room’s acoustics
The DSP also lets you tune the sound to suit your room. Three switches let you adjust the position (Stand, Wall, Corner), desk size (None, Small, Large) and room (Treated, Moderate, Untreated). With this level of acoustic control, you’re guaranteed the best response, wherever the speakers are placed.
Connect to digital and analogue sources
USB-C connectivity makes the D3V perfect for connecting to your smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC. Traditional 6.3mm TRS analogue inputs are also included, making them ideal for connecting to a mixer. For added versatility, there’s also a 3.5mm headphone socket at the front of the master speaker.
Simple, one button control
For quick and easy operation, simple tasks like muting the speaker, switching input, activating standby and changing the left/right placement on setup are all operated via presses of the volume knob. Multi-colour illumination lets you identify the current operating mode. This also displays if the audio source is overdriven and causing the DSP to clip the output signal, making you aware of distorted sound.
Sleek style, choice of colour
Supplied with 15 degree, upwards tilting stands, the D3Vs are perfect for desktop placement. The stands are removeable if you prefer a flat placement. A 3/8” threaded insert makes them suitable for use with tripod stands. Available in black or white, they suit both domestic and professional environments.
