Vibration resistant base
Getting the best sound from your records relies much on isolating the deck from vibrations. Rather than plastic, the AT-LPW50PB uses anti-resonant, 30mm thick MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard). This gives both rigidity and vibration absorption, for the lowest levels of distortion. Height adjustable, isolation feet provide further protection from harmful vibrations.
Fully adjustable, carbon fibre tonearm
Constructed from carbon fibre, the matte-finish tonearm doesn’t just look the part, it sounds it, too. Carbon fibre makes the tonearm extremely rigid, meaning it helps the cartridge to track as accurately as possible and resists distortion. The tonearm comes with a detachable headshell, adjustable tracking force and anti-skating settings – letting you easily adjust the tonearm to suit a huge range of potential cartridge upgrades. With a phono pre-amp built-in, the AT-LPW50PB connects to almost any hi-fi or speaker system. The phono pre-amp boosts the signal to line level, meaning you can connect it to any device with an AUX input. If you’d rather use your amp’s phono pre-amp, then simply switch off the turntable’s one.

Looks great, sounds great.
I purchased my audio technica lpw50pb a couple of weeks back to go with my marantz pm6007 amp and wharfedale diamond 220's, all bought at richer sounds newcastle branch. The turntable looks great and is very simple to use, it was very easy to put together and most important of all it sounds great. At last i can now do my record collection justice- recommended.

Richer sounds from a great turntable.
I visited the Cambridge store and the Deputy Manager who helped me was excellent. His knowledge,
patience, advice and customer service were exemplary.
There was never any 'hard sell' and I am very pleased with my purchase and the fact I chose to visit a store.

Excellent Turntable
Excellent turntable to complete the replacement of my 40 year old HiFi system - originally bought at Richer Sounds!
As usual great advice from the Preston store who also waived the delivery charge.

First impressions - hmmm!
What Hi Fi gave this a 5 star rating but, first impressions, not that promising to be honest. Great looking with the piano finish but this deck doesn't sound that good -- lacks subtlety and sounds congested -- compared with the bottom of the range Rega I use at home, or with lower end Pro Ject turntables I have heard. Disappointed. Bought it via Richer telesales; wish I had had the opportunity to demo it alongside other decks in one of the Richer shops.

Looks and sounds the part!
Fantastic service from the deputy manager of the Bristol store. The Audio-Technica LPW50PB looks and sounds the part. I was originally considering the the Audio Technica LP120 but I was educated on the differences between direct drive vs belt drive and in life much preferred the look of the ‘50. I’ve paired with the QED XT25 cable and my old Denon DM40 and very pleased. The cable has red and white plastic strands which initially confused me but after a bit of online searching figured out I didn’t need to strip these back.

Great new record deck arrived a day early
A visit to the Cardiff store Saturday for a new record deck was easily persuaded to spend an extra £4 for a better model which wasn’t available to take away, but by Monday it was playing my vinyl I haven’t played in years. No more humming like the old deck, can’t fault the service, delivery time or advice.
