Product Information
Ideal for the home or studio, the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO MKII headphones are true professionals of sound.
TESLA.45 technology – a powerful force
Inside these headphones lies a powerful force - TESLA technology. The TESLA name comes from the unit used to measure magnetic flux density, and the magnetic field within the DT 1990 PRO MKII's transducers' is much more powerful than regular headphones. The main advantage with this powerful magnetic field is that it allows for the use of smaller, lighter voice coils for a more responsive, lifelike sound.
Open back for sound transparency
The DT 1990 PRO MKII uses an open back design for spacious and natural sound. Although open back designs do leak sound, they counter with a much more ‘out of the head’ soundstage, making them sound less enclosed. For this reason, they’re often the choice of music connoisseurs and professionals alike.

The DT1990 PRO MKII is supplied with two different pairs of ear pads, to fine-tune the sound to your preference. One set is designed to give an enjoyable, well-balanced sound. The other offers the highest precision, making it ideal for analytical listening during mixing, producing or studying music.
