When you’re ready to get serious about home cinema, dedicated processors and power amps are the way to go. By keeping the processor and amps separate, it’s much easer to expand and upgrade your system as you go. For the ideal introduction to AV processors, the Emotiva XMC-2+ makes the perfect choice. With no fewer than 16 channels, it effortlessly copes with the largest systems – right up to Dolby Atmos 9.2.6. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Pro ensure stunning surround sound, with IMAX Enhanced coming soon. HDMI 2.1 sockets ensure support for 8K sources, as well as HDMR10+ and Dolby Vision. Finally, for the ultimate in room integration, the XMC-2+ has Dirac Live Room Correction.

Processing for up to 16 channels
With 16 output channels, the XMC-2+ has the processing power for the most sophisticated home cinema systems. Add suitable power amps and you’ll be able to decode Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Pro signals, right up to Dolby Atmos 9.2.6 – enough for the largest home cinemas. For best results, pair with the Emotiva XPA Gen3 power amps.

Balanced XLR outputs
For the highest quality signal transfer, the XMC-2+ uses 16 XLR outputs. More usually found in studios, XLR balanced sockets offer excellent noise resistance and a ‘locked in’ connection for the lowest distortion and most secure connection.

Dirac Live, for the very best sound in your room
For the very best sound in your room, XMC-2+ includes a license for powerful room correcting technology from Dirac Research. This uses a microphone and dedicated software to take multiple readings around your room and feed the information back to the amplifier for a completely bespoke response (professional set-up recommended).

Enjoy fully-immersive sound, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Pro
Bringing the cinema home, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoders provide truly immersive sound through ceiling or up-firing speakers. The XMC-2+ offers both systems, delivering Dolby Atmos up to 9.1.6 and DTS:X Pro. Decoding for IMAX Enhanced is due to be added via a future update.

Enhanced HDMI connectivity
Featuring eight HDMI inputs and two outputs, the XMC-2+ easily adapts to the most complex systems. All of the HDMI sockets are now at 2.1 standard, meaning they’re compatible with 8K sources and 4K/120Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for gaming. They also support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ pass through.

Flexible control options
A wide range of control options makes it easy to operate. A web-based remote control interface and network-based API allow seamless integration into your current ecosystem. Stay informed via the unit’s dual, high-visibility OLED screen and configurable onscreen display. For direct and tactile control, it also comes with Emotiva’s solid metal remote control.
