Product Information
”The KEF XIO is a soundbar of rare all-round ability that delivers movies and music with spectacle and finesse.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
KEF’s first soundbar – it’s a winner straight out of the blocks
Scooping up awards at its first attempt, the KEF XIO may be late to the soundbar party, but it’s got the quality and performance to easily be amongst the very best. Within its sleek and stylish casing you’ll find KEF’s famous Uni-Q drivers, which are ideal for immersing you in rich, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X cinema sound. The XIO also makes a great music speaker, with a wide range of streaming options available via app control.
Your choice of 3D cinematic sound
When it comes to surround sound formats, KEF’s first soundbar has all the best options covered. For classic, immersive surround sound, the XIO is compatible with Dolby Atmos. For non-Dolby Atmos encoded movies and TV, there’s also DTS:X. Both systems recreate convincing 3D audio, with the sound of overhead aircraft and tropical rainfall brought to life by the KEF’s 5.1.2 speaker configuration.
Your music, made immersive
With Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, music is more immersive than ever. The technology ‘pushes’ the sound around the room, giving the feeling of being surrounded by sound – just like at a live concert. There’s also virtualisation technology that converts audio from mono/stereo sources into multi-channel, transforming every sound source into an enveloping listening experience.
KEF Uni-Q drivers for expansive sound
KEF’s Uni-Q speaker technology places the tweeter within the woofer’s central core, giving pin-point accuracy and harmonious sound across the mid and upper frequencies. With three Uni-Q drivers onboard, the XIO has the front left, centre and right channels covered. For the side-firing ‘surround’ drivers, KEF has fitted full-range units.
Add an optional wireless subwoofer
Featuring four built-in woofer units, the XIO creates a richly balanced and dynamic sound. You can take this to the next level by adding your choice of active subwoofer and connecting via the optional (at extra cost) KEF KW2 RX Receiver. This wirelessly receives its bass signal from the soundbar and connects directly to your subwoofer’s input. For the most seamless sonics, pair with the KEF KC62, KC92 or Kube subwoofers.
Stream in style
More than just a master with movies, the XIO has a whole host of music streaming options available too. Connect via Wi-Fi, AirPlay, Chromecast or Bluetooth and effortlessly stream your choice of music. For direct access to your favourite streaming services, Spotify, TIDAL, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Qobuz Connect are all embedded within the KEF Connect app.
The hub of your connectivity
For multi-source connectivity, the XIO has an HDMI eARC connection. Plug in your TV and this versatile connection carries the sound from all the audio sources connected to your TV. For other sources, such as a games console, or even a CD player, there’s an optical digital input.
Sleek style
Available in Slate Black or Silver Grey, this sleek and stylish soundbar looks good with any TV. The premium aluminium and splashproof fabric finish is durable too. When it comes to positioning, you can choose between wall or shelf mounting, without compromising on sound quality. Built-in sensors detect the soundbar’s position and automatically adjust the settings for optimal performance.
Capture every note, whether it’s music or movies, with the KEK XIO.
