The small speaker that thinks big
Ideal for smaller rooms, desktop systems or even as monitor speakers, the Klipsch R-40Ms are perfect for when space is tight. Unlike many other small speakers, they’re also highly efficient. The 91dB efficiency rating means an amp with a power output of just 20 watts should be enough to power these speakers to room-filling levels. This makes them the ideal match for smaller amps or good quality but lower powered mini systems.
Ideal for home cinema
As well as being the perfect compact speaker for stereo systems, the R-40Ms are also well suited to home cinema. Small enough to be discreetly used as rear and effect speakers, the R-40Ms give a broad spread of sound that’s ideal for home cinema. With matching subwoofer, centre and floorstanding speakers available, you can create a tonally matched system with the power to thrill.
Horn-loaded tweeter for direct sound
World famous for their horn-loaded treble units, the R-40M carries on the tradition with their latest version of the Tractrix horn tweeter surround. The new 90-degree Tractrix horn surround is larger than before, giving a wider spread of sound but with the same clarity and intensity as ever.
Linear Travel Suspension for the lowest distortion
The aluminium dome tweeters feature LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) for a precise, low-distortion sound. Aluminium is extremely light and rigid, meaning that the tweeters pick up every subtle nuance of detail. Put together, this tech gives you super-precise sound with enhanced clarity.
Rhythmic bass from copper-spun woofers
Extremely light and rigid, the copper-spun bass cone delivers a satisfying bass response that’s tight and punchy. The exceptionally precise cone movement delivers low levels of distortion – even at higher volumes.

Upgrade of surround speakers
Bought these last week to replace my wharfdale 9s. These are used on my surround sound as fronts. Lads in the shop had patience of saints I can tell you. Listened to various speakers and could not make my mind up. To be fair didn't sound as good as I expected. That is till I got them home and set up on my stands. All I can say is wow. They sound amazing and the difference is night n day from my old speakers and from shop I listened to them. Even my wife said they sound amazing. Even turned my sub off. I would recommend these all day long. Just clean and precise and look sexy too. Center speaker is on order now as truly are amazing. Big thanks to the lads at Middlesbrough store. I was really looked after and they are so friendly n down to earth. These speakers will not disappoint you in looks or sound for that price either.

Truly a crisp and clear sound.
Purchased yesterday, connecting is a piece of cake. Quality of sound is clear, crisp and manages the amplifier frequency response levels, through low to high perfectly.
On the appearance side there are no frills, just straight forward eye pleasing speakers. I would highly recommend them. Sound reproduction, from modern music, classical, easy listening and all styles of jazz is very pleasing to the ear.

Very crisp and musical speakers.
John at the Cardiff branch recommended these and they have excellent clarity, the horn tweeters work very well. I was looking for a smallish speaker and short-listed Mission LX-2, DALI Spektor 2 and Q Acoustics 3030i. John suggested these as well and it's a good recommendation.
The bass is a little light but still punchy, they're new and have small bass drivers, hopefully this will improve in time but even if not, for a small room they are a good choice and nicely made.
