Ideal for smaller rooms, desktop systems or even as monitor speakers, the Klipsch R-40Ms are perfect for when space is tight. Unlike many other small speakers, they’re also highly efficient. The 91dB efficiency rating means an amp with a power output of just 20 watts should be enough to power these speakers to room-filling levels. This makes them the ideal match for smaller amps or good quality but lower powered mini systems.
Ideal for home cinema
As well as being the perfect compact speaker for stereo systems, the R-40Ms are also well suited to home cinema. Small enough to be discreetly used as rear and effect speakers, the R-40Ms give a broad spread of sound that’s ideal for home cinema. With matching subwoofer, centre and floorstanding speakers available, you can create a tonally matched system with the power to thrill.

World famous for their horn-loaded treble units, the R-40M carries on the tradition with their latest version of the Tractrix horn tweeter surround. The new 90-degree Tractrix horn surround is larger than before, giving a wider spread of sound but with the same clarity and intensity as ever.
Linear Travel Suspension for the lowest distortion
The aluminium dome tweeters feature LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) for a precise, low-distortion sound. Aluminium is extremely light and rigid, meaning that the tweeters pick up every subtle nuance of detail. Put together, this tech gives you super-precise sound with enhanced clarity.
Rhythmic bass from copper-spun woofers
Extremely light and rigid, the copper-spun bass cone delivers a satisfying bass response that’s tight and punchy. The exceptionally precise cone movement delivers low levels of distortion – even at higher volumes.
