Product Information
Power and control come together to make the Leema Hydra II  a superbly balanced power amp.

Power for even the toughest speakers

With 150 watts per channel, it’s little surprise that the Tucana Hydra 2 has the grunt to drive just about any pair of speakers. What’s more, thanks to the trio of toroidal power supplies, there’s always plenty of current, giving very high volume levels before distorting. The sound also has vice-like grip on the bass, giving exceptional timing and control.

Dual Mono design for superb sound staging
The Dual Mono design means that left and right channels each have their own circuit path. This reduces distortion between the channels, meaning you get a clearer and broader soundstage.

Versatile LIPS settings for the prefect pairing
Versatile LIPS (Leema Intelligent Protocol System) settings make the Hydra II pair seamlessly with you Leema pre-amp. Switch between stereo and mono settings and fixed and variable gain, depending on your system configuration. The power amp can also be configured to work seamlessly within a multi-channel system.

Balanced input
For the best match with the Leema Pyxis II pre-amplifier, use the XLR balanced inputs. These professional grade connections give a high quality and secure connection, that’s more resistant to electrical interference than standard RCA, unbalanced connections.

Three inputs
With no fewer than three separate RCA phono inputs, the Hydra is versatile enough to be used in multiple system configurations. You might, for example, pair it with a stereo pre-amplifier for your main hi-fi system while also using it to power your front speakers in a home cinema system. The third input could link to a multi-room pre-amp, using this as your main zone.

Discover a more versatile power amp, with the Leema Hydra II.

”Leema has turned a five-star player into an even better five-star player.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.

Unique DAC configuration

Marking this CD player out as something very special, the Leema Antila IIs Eco deploys their unique Quattro Infinity Multi-DAC. Rather than one or two, it employs multiple DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors), all driven from a fully balanced data stream. What this means for the sound is that you get incredibly low levels of distortion, giving an intensely realistic sound.

Leema tuned transport for the lowest levels of distortion
Leema also take great care with the CD transport system. Using Leema’s own software control and a bespoke servo, the transport or ‘disc reader’, delivers incredible precision for the lowest levels of jitter. This ‘cleans up’ the sound, especially during quieter sections of music, bringing to life even the most subtle passages of music.

Balanced output for reference sound
Along with the RCA phono outputs, the Antila IIs Eco features balanced XLR outputs. Matched to a compatible amplifier, these give the ultimate connection with the highest level of resistance to electrical interference.

System synergy with LIPS link
LIPS (Leema Intelligent Protocol System) connects up various Leema products for system synergy. The protocol lets the individual units ‘talk’ to one another, giving intelligent operation. Select the CD source, for example, and the linked Leema CD player powers up automatically.

Optimise your CD’s performance, with the Leema Antila IIs Eco.

”If you want to add engagement and hear more of the inner detail from the groove the Essential is a class act at a competitive price.” ’the Ear.net’ – Best Buy.

Just the basics – done to the highest standards

Unlike Leema’s more expensive products, the Leema Essentials Phono pre-amp doesn’t have an extensive range of features. What it does have, however, is class-leading sound quality. With rave reviews across the board, this phono pre-amp is seen by many as the one to beat at its price.

MM and MC
Switchable for both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridges, the Essentials Phono stage works with just about any cartridge, making compatibility near universal.

Low frequency filter to protect your speakers
Operating below 20Hz, the switchable low frequency filter protects your speakers from the ‘cone flap’ caused by warped records and turntable bearing noise.

Maximise your vinyl’s potential, with the Leema Essentials Phono pre-amp.

The Leema Libra combines the highest level of sonic accuracy with foot-tapping sound for the perfect musical blend.

Unique DAC configuration

Marking this DAC player out as something very special, the Leema Libra deploys their unique Quattro Infinity dual-mono DAC modules. Rather than one or two, it employs multiple DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors), all driven from a fully balanced data stream. What this means for the sound is that you get incredibly low levels of distortion, giving an intensely realistic sound. The DAC module is also upgradable, letting you keep your Libra while technology improves.

Class leading, digital connectivity
Whatever you’re looking to connect, you’re unlikely to find anything with the Libra’s comprehensive connectivity. For inputting your music there are no fewer than three optical and three coaxial digital inputs. There are also two, professional type I2S inputs via RJ45s, two AES/EBU inputs via XLR and a USB-B input for music from your PC. If these 11 digital inputs aren’t enough, the Libra goes on to offer full analogue connectivity, too.

Analogue inputs that let you use this DAC as a pre-amp
With three analogue inputs, assignable to RCA phono or XLR balanced, the Leema also functions as an analogue pre-amp. The fully balanced analogue stage is impressive in its own right and even includes a high quality headphone pre-amp. A slick, rotary volume control gives smooth, progressive volume adjustment, straight to your power amp or headphones.

Balanced input and output for reference sound
Making the most of the balanced pre-amp design, the Pyxis features both XLR inputs and outputs. Matched to a compatible source and power amp, these give the ultimate connection with the highest level of resistance to electrical interference.

Wide ranging file compatibility, including DSD128
The Libra is capable of converting Hi-Res music files up to 24-bit/384kHz and DSD128 via its Type-B USB and I2S inputs. 24-bit/192kHz and DSD64 files are supported by all the other digital inputs.

System synergy with LIPS link
LIPS (Leema Intelligent Protocol System) connects up various Leema products for system synergy. The protocol lets the individual units ‘talk’ to one another, giving intelligent operation. Switch on, and the linked Leema power amp, powers up automatically.

A masterpiece of design and engineering, the Musical Fidelity M6x TT has the performance to match its stunning style.

Premium sound and style that’s clear to see
With its dual-layer Acrylic plinth and silver detailing, the Musical Fidelity M6x TT makes a strong style statement in any system. This high precision turntable is about much more than just style, however; it’s about form following function for the very best in sound quality, too. Using multiple isolation techniques, it delivers incredibly pure and transparent sound that digs deeper into your music for lifelike realism.

Precision engineered for sonic accuracy
Featuring a self-contained DC-driven AC generator, the sophisticated motor unit offers electronic speed control and smooth power, without the need for an external power supply. It drives a high mass, heavily damped aluminium platter that delivers exceptional speed stability for accurate pitch and strong dynamics.

Dual-layer Acrylic plinth separates motor and tonearm mounts
Striking to look at but also crucial to the M6x TT’s sound quality, the dual-layer plinth is a highlight. Acrylic is a non-resonant material that’s ideal for a turntable plinth as it doesn’t colour the sound. Using dual layers takes the principle even further as the motor is mounted to the base plinth while the main bearing and tonearm are mounted to the top. This completely isolates the vibration sensitive components from the motor, greatly reducing distortion.

Magnetic feet for superb isolation
Taking isolation to the next level, the M6x TT is supplied with heavyweight, magnetic feet. Made from TPE-damped aluminium, the feet effectively resist mechanical vibrations from nearby devices, ensuring the purest and least distorted sound possible. They are also height adjustable, making it easy to get a perfectly level platform.

The tonearm to match
The new tonearm has the performance and style to match the turntable. Using a highly polished, conical aluminium tube and transparent Acrylic bearing ring the design perfectly complements the deck. Just like the turntable, the tonearm benefits from ultra-low resonance construction, with two TPE-damped counterweights to support a wide range of cartridges. It’s also adjustable for azimuth (angle) and VTA (height), letting you get the perfect setting for your choice of optional cartridge.

Supplied with sound enhancing accessories
For optimal playback, the M6x TT is supplied with a range of performance enhancing accessories. These include a leather platter mat and heavy aluminium record puck. By weighting the record down, resonance and vibration are reduced, helping to improve tracking for a clearer and more precise sound. A semi-balanced interconnect cable is also supplied.

Enjoy sound that’s truly transparent, with the Musical Fidelity M6x TT.

The perfect partner for serious turntables, the Ortofon MC X40 delivers spectacular detail, dynamics and sheer musicality from all your vinyl.

Flagship model for breathtaking sound
The Ortofon MC X40 is the range-topping model, with further enhancements for the most transparent and responsive sound possible. Fitted with a boron cantilever and Shibata spherical diamond that’s more usually fitted to Ortofon’s reference cartridges, you get to experience true high-end musical detail and staging. The stylus’s wide contact area doesn’t just mean more detail; it also ensures less damage to your precious records.

Pure silver coils for sonic purity
Featuring high-purity, pure silver cabling at its core, the MC X40 offers low signal resistance for exceptional clarity and detail. With the sound originating at this point, this is where signal loss can be the most harmful, making the low-loss coils even more important.

Light and rigid honeycomb body
Using Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) technology for the cartridge body, the MC X40 is as light yet rigid as possible. The high rigidity body helps provide the most stable support for the delicate motor system. For a high quality and long lasting finish, the moulding is treated with Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD).

Efficient magnet system
With a newly developed magnet system, the MC X40 ensures a clean, powerful signal that’s highly efficient. This means that, when combined with the pure silver cores, you get to experience the purest and least distorted sound possible.

Custom-developed rubber dampers to reduce distortion
For maximum resistance to vibration, the MC X40 uses custom designed rubber dampers. These control the coil system’s movement, ensuring stability and precise movement. The result is improved tracking and reduced distortion.

Hear what you’ve been missing from your vinyl, with the Ortofon MC X40.

The lower section of the speaker houses two 170mm woofer units, set in an isobaric array. The two woofers move in tandem, creating the effect of a larger bass cone within a larger cabinet. The result is deep and powerful bass that’s not only extended far below from what you’d expect from a cabinet of this size but also still crisp and pacey in its timing – just as you’d expect from the Neat Acoustics brand.
