MPD III tweeter units for stunning top-end resolution
Derived from the flagship Platinum range, MPD III tweeters use a Micro Pleated Diaphragm to deliver stunning top-end detail. By pleating the tweeter’s shape, the surface area is increased eight-fold. Working by squeezing the pleats, like a super-fast accordion, gives the treble an incredible response – right up to an incredible 60,000Hz. What this means is you get uncompressed harmonics for a spacious and lifelike top-end performance.
Striking mid-range and punchy bass performance
Using RDT III (Rigid Diaphragm Technology), the twin woofer units deliver power with accuracy. The C-CAM cones reflect Monitor Audio’s long heritage with metal cone technology and are just as beneficial today as they were in the ‘80s. Metal cones are light yet extremely rigid, meaning they’re quick to respond, giving you an agile and punchy sound.
Luxury finish

Designed especially for the Studio 89 standmount speakers, these are the ideal stands to match. The stands not only echo the speakers’ luxurious style but also bolt directly on for a rigid fixing. Keeping the overall design as clean and clutter-free as possible, a cable channel at the rear of the stands routes speaker cables out of sight – right the way to the floor.
Heavy duty design for bass reinforcement
Using a sturdy central column and base, the Studio 89 Stands add mass to the speakers, helping to reinforce the bass response. For further mass damping, you can fill the centre columns with a proprietary stand filler.
Big on stability
The stands are supplied with four adjustable feet for absolute stability. Both chrome-plated spikes and domed rubber feet are included, making the Studio 89 Stands ideal for carpeted or hard surfaces.
