MPD III tweeter units for stunning top-end resolution Derived from the flagship Platinum range, MPD III tweeters use a Micro Pleated Diaphragm to deliver stunning top-end detail. By pleating the tweeter’s shape, the surface area is increased eight-fold. Working by squeezing the pleats, like a super-fast accordion, gives the treble an incredible response – right up to an incredible 60,000Hz. What this means is you get uncompressed harmonics for a spacious and lifelike top-end performance.
Striking mid-range and punchy bass performance Using RDT III (Rigid Diaphragm Technology), the twin woofer units deliver power with accuracy. The C-CAM cones reflect Monitor Audio’s long heritage with metal cone technology and are just as beneficial today as they were in the ‘80s. Metal cones are light yet extremely rigid, meaning they’re quick to respond, giving you an agile and punchy sound.
