Heavyweight stands, ideal for smaller speakers
With their thick centre column and heavyweight construction, the Mountson Aero speaker stands make the perfect match for smaller speakers. The high mass stands, further improved by adding damping ballast, help add bass weight and solidity to smaller speakers, optimising their sound characteristics.
Add damping
Use the supplied bags to fill with your choice of damping material, such as kiln-dried sand or specific stand fillers such as Atacama Atabites, and experience the sound quality benefits. The Aero’s oversized columns have a high damping material capacity, letting you add substantial mass for a highly damped support. With most smaller speakers you’ll find that the bass has improved punch, with a tighter and more dynamic response.
Cable management
With the speakers being placed high up off the floor, the cables can spoil the aesthetics and may even prove to be a trip hazard. Thoughtfully, the Aero stands feature cable management channels, letting you neatly route speaker cables down the inside of the stand and out of sight.
Stable and level
Supplied with adjustable floor spikes, it’s easy to ensure the stands are perfectly stable and level. Spikes also help isolating the stands from the floor, further improving the sound and reducing the potential for sound to be transmitted to the room below. Four drilled holes on the top plate let you add your choice of top spikes (not included).
