Big on versatility, compact in size
The Tangent Ampster BT III features a smooth-edged, compact casing that’s perfect for desktop audio or shelf placement. Inside its unobtrusive casing, however, it has the power to deliver room-filling sound. It’s also supremely flexible, with inputs for wireless Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, phono, optical and line level, making it the hub of your AV system.
Punchy performer
Despite its compact size, the Tangent Ampster BT II is ‘full fat’ when it comes to power output. With its 2 x 50 watt power output (at 4 ohms), this baby amp has ample power to deliver room-filling sound in small and medium-sized spaces. For extra bass, simply hook up your choice of active subwoofer to the dedicated sub output.
Wireless Bluetooth with aptX HD
Connect to your smartphone or tablet and listen out loud, without the hassle of cables. Wireless Bluetooth connectivity can also be used with an ever-growing range of components, such as the latest turntables and TVs. The quality Bluetooth 5.1 connection is also compatible with aptX HD, giving you improved resolution for more detailed sound quality.
Connect your TV via HDMI ARC
Fitted with an HDMI ARC interface, the Ampster BT III makes the ideal amp for connecting to your TV. HDMI transmits your TV’s sound to the amp at the highest standard, elevating the sound quality to a level well above the built-in speakers.
Hook up your turntable
The switchable RCA input is perfect for connecting to a turntable (fitted with a Moving Magnet cartridge). This handy feature saves on the need for a separate phono pre-amp, keeping your system as neat and clutter-free as possible. If you’d rather use a dedicated phono pre-amp, or another source altogether, that’s fine, as the input simply switches back to line level.
Digital and analogue inputs, plus USB charging
Featuring an optical digital input and two line level inputs (one switchable to phono as above), this little amp has the capacity for connecting all your other devices, too. You can use these sockets for a CD player, music streamer or games console and more. For keeping your smartphone or other device topped up, there’s also a USB-C 5V/1A charge port.

Also included is an outboard IR (InfraRed) sensor. This lets you place the amp out of sight while still maintaining full remote control – perfect if your system’s in a cabinet.
