Product Information

Play CDs and music files from USB
The Yamaha CD-S303 is the perfect player for both your CD collection and digital music files. Thanks to its easy to access, USB port on the front panel, simply transfer digital music files to a USB memory device, plug in and play.
Hi-res music via USB
The USB port accepts a wide range of music files, including Hi-res music files. Compatible with MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC and FLAC files, this Yamaha CD player is a versatile player. Fitted a top quality 24-bit DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), the CD-S303 is compatible with Hi-res music files right up to 24-bit/96kHz (FLAC).
High quality components and short signal paths for superior sound
Yamaha have used top quality components to get the best sound quality possible at the price. High grade acoustic capacitors, low-noise, high-gain op amps and damping around the transformer and cables are all components you’d usually expect to find in more expensive CD players. Using individually isolated sections and short signal paths, the CDS303 minimises signal loss, reducing distortion to the lowest levels.
Pure Direct for the most detailed sound
Pure Direct is a feature that will be familiar to Yamaha AVR and amplifier owners. Switching it on shuts down the digital outputs and turns off the display, greatly reducing the electrical ‘noise’ inside the player. Less noise means more detail, giving you a purer, more lifelike sound.
Digital outputs
Fitted with both optical and coaxial digital outputs, the CD-S303 works with a wide range of AVRs, stereo amps and active speakers. There are also conventional RCA phono outputs for traditional stereo amps.
3-mode CD Text display
CD Text provides information about the disc currently playing (when supported by the disc). This 3-mode display shows the CD’s title, artist’s name and track title. The display also has four illumination levels, plus ‘off’ altogether.
Multi playback modes
24-track programming, random play and repeat All/Track/A-B are all available, giving you complete playback control. Playback Mode Memory remembers the setting when the unit is powered off. Auto Play starts play as soon as the player is switched on. Auto Power Standby puts the player in standby after playback has stopped for more than 20 minutes.
Enjoy top quality sound from your CDs and digital music files, with the Yamaha CD-S303.
