Perfect for both professional DJ use and for hi-fi at home, the Audio Technica AT-LP140XP is built to high precision standards. With a direct drive mechanism, it locks into the groove, delivering an up-tempo sound that’s right on the beat. Supplied with an S-shaped tonearm and AT-XP3 DJ cartridge, it tracks the music with a tenacious grip. Generous vibration-damping means that, no matter how loud the music, bass is kept tight and the distortion low.
Direct drive for precise speed control
Featuring a high torque, direct drive motor, the AT-LP140XP gives superb pitch stability. The direct drive also allows for near-instant direction reverse – at the touch of a button. It also gives the swift start and stop times needed for complete control when mixing.
Fully adjustable pitch control for easy mixing
Pitch control makes this deck perfect for mixing. The handy slider has a triple range pitch control; +/-8%, +/-16% and even +/-24% for more extreme sound manipulation. With Quartz lock, you’re guaranteed total pitch stability. A pop-up strobe light makes keeping an eye on the platter speed easy, too.
Vibration-resistant plinth
Featuring a robust plinth, with damped base and isolation feet, the turntable resists vibrations for reduced distortion. The aluminium platter with mass damping and felt mat further enhances the sound, with the damping helping to prevent ‘ringing’ resonances.
S-shaped tonearm with full adjustment, including VTA
Robust and practical, the AT-LP140XP’s tonearm is the ideal match for the deck. The classic S-shape is tried and tested and favoured by many for mixing use. The tonearm features a detachable AT-HS6 headshell for swift cartridge replacement. It also has accurate weight and anti-skating adjustment, plus the crucial VTA height adjustment - letting you use thicker slip-mats and deeper cartridges without upsetting the balance.
