As a transport only, the Audiolab 6000CDT comes without a built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). This not only saves you money but also gives you the freedom to choose your own DAC; or partner the CD transport with a digital amp, such as the matching Audiolab 6000A.

Using a read-ahead digital buffer, it’s also more tolerant of imperfect discs that might be scratched or dirty, letting you play your most loved discs that other players won’t.

Audiolab 6000CDT
I recently replaced an all-in-one unit with a new amp therefore leaving me without a cd player. I also have a Cambridge Audio CXN V2 so decided to get a CD transport and use the digital input on the streamer. I preferred the black finish and slot loading of the Audiolab 6000CDT over the obvious CA offering. The Audiolab 6000CDT and Chord C-digital cable are working well together, definitely highly recommended from me.

Great looks, solid performance.
Purchased along with the 6000a play, this CD transport looks gorgeous and performs perfectly, managing to produce spine tingling results.

Simple things done well
Bought this CD transport on the back of other reviews and so that it gave me flexibilty to upgrade other components of my system in the future. I paired with a powernode and the sound is so clean and detailed. Looks great too and prefer the mechanism to disc draw CD players

Excellent service
I purchased a JBL Clip 5 today and what a brilliant piece of kit.
The base is punchy and lyrics are sharp and crisp.

Excellent sound quality and great value
I wanted a separate, standalone CD transport, and reviews suggested the Audiolab 6000CDT played above its price point. Having lived with it for a few weeks, I agree. It took a couple of days to settle in, and now the bass, soundstage and 'reality' are notably better than using a (good) player as a transport. Everything works as it should, and it's neat and unobtrusive. The initial disc read takes a few seconds, but once running it is fast to react to controls. No real downsides at all, especially in view of the seriously good price.
