Improving on an industry leader The Audiolab 8200A was one of the most highly acclaimed amps in its class with a first-class reputation for sound quality. Improving on this hasn't been easy for Audiolab, but with a complete ground up redesign by veteran amp designer Jan Ertner, they've managed to do just that.
Dual mono design for superb accuracy At the heart of the Audiolab 8300A is a new dual mono circuit design. This means that both the left and right audio channels have their own circuitry. Interference between channels is drastically reduced giving superb stereo clarity and precision of sound. Other thoughtful design elements include a power supply that is placed as far away from the sensitive audio processors as possible - helping to reduce distortion.
More power Delivering a punchy 75 watts per channel, the 8300A is capable of driving even the most difficult speakers to high levels. A high quality toroidal power transformer delivers not only powerful dynamics and effortless grunt, but also high efficiency and low noise.
Connect up your record deck using the built-in phono stage With the vinyl revival in full swing, Audiolab have fitted the 8300A with a built-in phono stage. Unlike most of the competition it will accept both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridge inputs for full compatibility with all turntables.
Pre/power amp split versatility Highly impressive in its own right, the 8300A also offers superb upgrade potential. Using pre/power split functions you can add either a higher quality power amp(s), such as the awesome Audiolab 8300MB or a superior pre-amp. The twin pre-outs are also handy for other applications, such as recording or connecting to an active subwoofer.
Balanced inputs for the ultimate connection Along with the five line-level inputs, the 8300A features balanced XLR inputs. Matched to a compatible source, these give the ultimate connection with the highest level of resistance to electrical interference.
Smooth new style With its routed aluminium dials and recessed power switch, the 8300A looks purer and cleaner in design. A choice of silver or black, blasted aluminium finishes means that the amp will fit in with a wide range of other hi-fi components. A new display makes it easy to check the amps' status.

Like getting a new pair of ears!This seriously A1, 5 Star amplifier has blown me away. Its quite literally like getting a fresh pair of ears. Am rediscovering my entire recorded collection from 30 year old cassette tapes to vintage LPs and Hi-Res digital (via an equally first class Cambridge DAC.(also purchased from Richer Sounds). My vintage Rogers LS3/6's sing as sweet as the day I bought them 40 years ago. Audiolab delivers everything as promised and more besides.

Great sound and rapid supportBought my Audiolab 8300A for use as both an integrated amp as well as a power amp linked to my new Denon AVC6700H which has pre outs. I couldn’t work out the remote- certain buttons worked (volume) but mode etc didn’t. The support line from Audiolab got me to press the A button which fixed it!

Great sound but.....I purchased the 8300A and 8300CDQ in February. THe two sound great BUT there are bugs in the firmware which means that the remote control doesn't function correctly. There was a similar bug in the 6000 range which was resolved, but I have been in communication with Audiolab directly for over a month now and they are refusing to accept that there is a problem, even though the reomote control doesn't fucntion as described. I'd recomend the products seperately, but not as a combo and furthermore this whole experience has made me realise what a terrible organisation IAG (international Audio Group) are.
I'm returning the pair as this is not wat I expect from £2000+ of hifi equipment

Sounds great with LS50I have this working with a 6000A. Clean, full sound through my (now dated!) LS50s. Easy set up, nice remote, looks great. Very happy with the purchas.

Awesome AmplifierI’ve had this 8300a around 6 weeks now and it is just sublime. I love everything about it. It seems to take around 40 minutes to sound its best but when its there it really does sing! I switch it on beforehand ie in the morning on the weekend or when i get home from work so that when I’m ready to listen the amp is ready to perform
I have it partnered perfectly with the 8300cdq which are connected with xlr cables, these have proven to be much better tha rca connections so i would recommend a set of those too if you have compatible units.

Great AmpI’m using the Audiolab with an M-Dac, connected via XLR, and feeding it High Def audio from Amazon Unlimited. I have the amp connected to some B&W 606 speakers. Together everything sounds absolutely great, the M-DAC also brings the added benefit of a headphone socket. As others have said the sound is warm and very detailed. I certainly can’t imagine changing any of these components any time soon, as they all work so well together. I’m extremely glad I found some real kit to show off the quality of the B&W speakers. If you’re looking for an amp at this price point definitely give this one a go, equally try pairing up the DAC if you’re going to be using a digital source.

Audilab 8300 well done well doneI have bought this 8300 amp in the middle of Feb so it been fairly used since then.
After a few weeks, I'm pretty sure, I surpassed at least 200h of listening and can say with confidence the performance developed, and soundstage and overall sonic experience become more refined.
it has a kick and has a nice warm filling which is perfect for my beginner lp collection.
All in all
Audio lab 8300A has fantastic
Build Quality = Excellent for the money.
Sound Quality = Detailed, muscular sound.
Value for Money= With a price of £900 this is excellent value.
Pros:
Great musicality and detail
Minimalist good looks and ease of use
Well built in phono stage with mm/mc options
Remote works well and easy to use
Cons:
No headphone output, but with so many good external units on the market, I don’t see this being a problem.

Great sounding amp with minimal controls.Just replaced my 25 year old 8000A with the new 8300A, which sounds crisper and clearer! Still has phono and powers 2 sets of speakers, but do miss the headphone socket, tone controls and switchable speaker set. Less controls gives better sound?
If this 8300A lasts as long as the original, I shall be really pleased.
