One system does it all
An evolution in sound and style, the Evo 150 is a compact powerhouse. With 150 watts per channel and a reference quality DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) built in, sound quality is of the first order. A comprehensive range of streaming options, via wi-fi, AirPlay and Bluetooth let you stream music your way. StreamMagic
Based around Cambridge Audio’s award-winning StreamMagic platform, the Evo 150 delivers a seamless streaming experience. TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect and Qobuz are built-in (premium account may be required for full functionality). StreamMagic works with Hi-res music files, including MQA-powered TIDAL Masters. The StreamMagic system also works alongside Roon, AirPlay 2 and Chromecast, letting you decide the system you want to stream music.
Two-way Bluetooth
Two-way Bluetooth lets you pair your smartphone, tablet, laptop or other device and stream in high quality aptX HD Bluetooth. It also lets you receive a Bluetooth signal back to your Bluetooth headphones – giving you a completely wireless listening experience.
Connect digital
A wide range of digital inputs lets you connect all you home entertainment. Use the HDMI ARC to plug in your TV and feed it with your games console, Blu-ray/DVD player and set-top TV box, all connected via the two optical and one coaxial digital inputs. Upgrade to an Evo 150 has got me listening to CDs
After reading lots of reviews and eventually listening to an Evo 150 I made the decision to replace my ageing Arcam A85 with an EVO 150. I patiently waited for a couple of days by just playing the Mystery Train Radio before playing my favourite CDs.
Wonderful; clarity and bass control was most impressive with my wife remarking on the improvements. No sibilance on female vocals, male voices clearer and greater separation of instruments right through the range. I've also connected my Sonos Port to allow for multiroom control but I have already listened to more of our CDs in the last week than in the previous 6 months.
Beautifully made with a lovely remote which works from almost anywhere in the room and I am slowly getting used to the StreamMagic app which allows all inputs to be renamed e.g. the Aux input has been renamed CD and the gain can be decreased / increased so that the speaker volume matches the other inputs. The internet radio is remarkably good but does not compare to the CD input. I am also streaming from Spotify which has also shown some improvement but not as much as the CD player or NAS drive which it easily connected to and immediately found all the FLAC files which, like the CD, showed a significant improvement..
My only negatives are the lack of StreamMagic control of Spotify (it takes you to the Spotify App) and the inability to adjust the balance of the speakers. Bass and Treble can be switched in from the App but no option (that I can find) to balance my speakers. My present solution is to move my chair !!
To finish on a positive - delivery was prompt and this has to be one of the best packed items I have ever bought.

Purchased a couple of days ago and the set up and functionality of the unit is excellent.
Sound is great, remote is excellent, system sounds lovely with my PMC speakers.

Totally amazed with my Evo
No racks of cds, I can sit in my armchair queing an endless stream of tracks. Subscribed to Tidal, needs to be foolproof so my non tech wife can use it.
So far Stream magic has hit the mark, my wife is turning into an audiophile.
Its an understated statement piece in our lounge.

Sounds amazing (Pt I)
As my old system was getting to the end of it’s life, I was looking for a replacement. At first I was sceptical about this as it had no tuner and an app to control it, however I went for it. After getting it set up then I have to say the sound is amazing. It is running through the same speaker set up and positions as before but sounds so much better. I still can’t believe the difference.
So happy that I went for this.

Finally got what I needed!
Reviewers mention the changeable side panels, lack of touch screen. Less about how good this unit is. Preceded by the unity atom which is firmly dug in! To use a touch screen, I would have to get off my butt and go touch it! The remote is much better! Sound is what matters! I can’t fault this unit in any area!
